PARISH INFORMATION / INFORMACION PARROQUIAL New Parishioners: We welcome all new members to our parish community. Please register in the parish office. Also, if there is a change in address, please notify us.

Sacrament of Reconciliation: St. Rita Saturdays 11am -12pm, and the third Thursday of the month from 6-7pm . St. Clare Thursdays 12:30pm the first Friday of each month from 7-9pm, (or by appointment).

Catechesis/Religious Education: Call the Office of Reli-gious Education at the rectory (ext. 231) for more infor-mation.

Baptisms: To register to have your child baptized, bring the birth certificate and $50 donation to the parish office. See the list of dates on page 5. There are no baptisms dur-ing the season of Lent.

Marriages: Arrangements must be made at least six months before the wedding date. Call a priest in the rec-tory for arrangements.

Cotillions/Quinceañeras: The young lady must have received the sacraments of Baptism, Communion and Confirmation. Parents and young lady need to attend a retreat.

Adult Sacramental Formation: For information on classes for adults who want to become Catholic or to complete your sacraments, please call the parish office.

Presentations: Only for 3-year-olds who are baptized and for 40 day newborn blessing. On Sunday during Mass or various Saturdays at 1pm. Call the parish office to register.

Wedding Anniversary Blessings: Call the parish office to register.

Seriously Ill and Homebound: You may request anointing of the sick & pastoral visits by contacting the parish of-fice.

Food Pantry: We have a food pantry on Tuesdays at 1pm.

Citizenship Classes: For information, call Adriana Mo-rales at 773-540-4033.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: St. Rita Every Thursday from 8:30am-7pm and St. Clare every first Fri-day of the month from 6-9pm.

Please bring back Today Sunday May 30th Our parish is participating in The Baby Bottle Project benefiting The Women’s Centers of Greater Chi-cagoland. This non-profit organization directly assists mothers and families experiencing crisis pregnan-cies by offering emotional, financial, material, and spiritual support through counseling, clothing & monetary provisions, prayer, and other aid. By God’s Grace, The Women’s Centers have saved over 40,000 babies—and their mothers—from abortion since opening in 1984.

Please take a Baby Bottle home with you from the church and fill it with your spare change and return it the weekend of Sunday May 30th. This is a simple, but crucial fundraising effort for The Women’s Centers. Please note: The Baby Bottles cost almost $1.00 per bot-tle and are recycled afterwards so please return upon completion of the project. Thank you for helping defend life and remember to keep all pro-life undertakings in your prayers. If you are making a donation by check, please make it payable to: The Women’s Center. Thank you! Triduum of feasting together. The amount of donations offered gave the Feast of St. Rita Plan-ning Committee a head-start to organize a full weekend of prayer and activities. Thank you to all our volunteers and ministers who helped make this Feast amazing despite the times we are having during the pandemic. This is what it means to be a family of faith! EL MISTERIO DE LA SANTÍSIMA TRINIDAD

Hoy celebramos la solemnidad de la Santísima Trini-dad. La Iglesia dedica este domingo a centrar nuestra atención en el misterio de la Santísima Trinidad, Dios, que es uno, en tres personas: Padre, Hijo y Es-píritu Santo. La primera lectura de Deuteronomio hace énfasis en la grandeza imponente de Dios y su cercanía asom-brosa. Puede parecer increíble, pero el Dios de toda la creación nos habla, nos protege y nos guía. La se-gunda lectura, tomada de la carta de San Pablo a los Romanos, describe la forma en que se relacionan las tres personas que son un solo Dios. El Espíritu nos guía para cumplir con Dios Padre como hijos adopti-vos. Nuestra adopción es tal que somos incluso los herederos de nuestro hermano, Cristo, la segunda persona de la Trinidad, cuyos sufrimientos también debemos compartir. En el Evangelio según San Ma-teo, Jesús habla con la autoridad de Dios y nos envía a enseñar y bautizar en nombre de la Trinidad.

THE MYSTERY OF THE BLESSED TRINITY

Today we celebrate the solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. The Church sets aside this Sunday to focus our attention on the mystery of the Blessed Trinity, God who is one, but three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The first reading from Deuteronomy emphasizes both God’s awesome greatness and amazing near-ness. It might seem beyond belief, but the God of all creation speaks to us, protects us, and guides us. The second reading from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Ro-mans describes how we are to relate to the three per-sons who are one God. We are led by the Spirit to meet God the Father as adopted children. Our adop-tion is such that we are even heirs with our brother, Christ, the second person of the Trinity, in whose sufferings we must also share. In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus speaks with his authority as God and sends us to teach and baptize in the name of the Trinity.
