Ask Father Randy, “Where do you

sleep?” I sleep in the rectory. The rectory is a residence owned by the parish for the priest to use as long as he is pastorate at that parish. I will be spending some time in Florida with family members. I am leaving on Jan. 13th after the Masses returning on Jan. 29th. “Our Union with Christ unifies affections and wills.” - St. Cyprian One thing I don’t want to share with people is germs. If I am sick, I don’t shake hands during the sign of peace or other times. No one has ever been offended by this; they are glad that I am not doing it. If you are concerned about getting sick, we don’t have to shake hands during the sign of peace. Most everyone will understand. Another thing that helps is to learn to keep your hands away from your face. To my knowledge, germs don’t normally enter into us through our hands. Washing your hands can also help. Wash them before Mass for the sake of others, and wash them after Mass for your sake. After the public school system, the Catholic school system forms the largest school system in the United States. There are over 1.8 million students in over 6,300 Catholic schools. Has anyone ever asked you why are you Catholic? Can you answer with more than, “because my parent are Catholic?” This is a good reason, yet there are many more reasons to be Catholic. Read the book we gave out at Christmas, “Why I Am Catholic” by Brandon Vogt. If you like the book, pass it on to someone when you are done. You may even want to join a book discussion group. There will be several groups starting up soon in our parish.

Our December Dollar Challenge collection increased our Endowment Fund by $795.40! We are looking for a January sponsor for the Dollar Challenge and for other months in 2019. If you are interested in sponsoring a month or have questions about doing so, please call the parish office. You may sponsor a month for a personal intention or you may remain anonymous. Thank you to all our 2018 sponsors and

to those that participated.

Eucharistic Adoration Monday - Noon to 1:00 pm Saturday - 8:00 to 9:00 am

Our Faith Stories TONIGHT!

January 6th at 6:30 pm in Healy Hall This evening at “Our Faith Stories,” we are going to watch and hear about the acts of faith and love that Mike Donahue and Jim Cisler have shared with the people of Catarina, Guatemala. Earlier this year, they went to assist two Maryknoll Sisters who are also physicians working in Catarina, Guatemala for over 50 years. When asked how this developed a deep faith, Jim shared that this service made him truly appreciate the many blessings and gifts he has been given. It provides motivation for him to do more for those in need with not only his treasure, but also his time and talent to be the hands and feet of Christ to others that he can help locally. Mike shared that this faith journey leads him to do what he can for those who have less. His faith is energized by these physician sisters who have followed the gospel teachings in such a dramatic way. Part of his mission is to point out these living 'saints' as beacons of hope for us as well as the people they serve.

Please come to hear more of their inspiring stories.

Prayer Shawls A couple ladies from our parish have been lovingly making prayer shawls. While they are knitting, they pray for the future recipient of the shawl. It has been a special privilege to me to give these shawls to those in need of great prayer for a variety of reasons. If you know of someone who might be comforted by one of these shawls, please be sure to let me know. Thank you, Shaun Kleitsch

Romeos Look Forward to a Bright New Year! A new year, a new day and the ROMEOS want to start everything off on the right foot and make a resolution to always save the 2nd Tuesday of each month to get together with our fellow ROMEOS to enjoy each other’s company. To start the new year, we will get together on Tuesday, January 8th, at 11:30 am at the Sunrise restaurant on Main St., in Stoughton. You can expect good food (lots of it) and good company.

They were overjoyed at seeing the star, and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary, his

mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage. Then, they opened their treasures and

offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. - Mt 2:10-11
