With the warm days of spring around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about spring mowing… unless you live in Lincoln Military Housing. LMH mows all unfenced areas of the yard, taking this daunting task off the chore list for residents living in housing on post. LMH mows and blows grass clippings from the unfenced areas around each home. As a resident, all you have to do is keep the grass watered, and maintain the shrubs and landscaping around the perimeter of the home. Gratr Landscapes is the company that provides mowing service in all areas of housing on Fort Sam Houston. They will begin a weekly mowing schedule Monday, March 3rd and will continue the spring and summer mowing schedule until early October. As a reminder, the landscape crew cannot maintain yards that are cluttered with personal items. So please take the time to remove children's toys and other personal items from the service areas, on your mowing days. Please check the mowing schedule to determine your area’s service day. Please refer to the resident guide for more details regarding exterior maintenance of your home.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG! Mowing schedule increases for Spring and Summer months

LMH Follows San Antonio Water Restriction Guidelines:

Watering is allowed once a week between the hours of 3 am to 8 am and 8 pm to 10 pm, determined by your watering day. LMH uses drought restrictions established by the JBSA drought plan, to limit water use based on specific levels of the Edwards Aquifer. Please adhere to watering guidelines during specific drought conditions.

POLICY ON FENCES Last month LMH sent out an email regarding the fence policy. As a reminder, approved fencing can be installed at the residents expense with approval from LMH. Residents must submit a request in writing, accompanied by a drawing that designates location, materials used and size, Approvals will be granted based on the following criteria. Fences must be installed and maintained to ensure they will not detract from the appearance of the home. Only standard chain link fences four (4) feet high will be authorized, with the exception of Watkins Terrace homes (fencing prior to 2005). Upon accepting a home with a fence, the resident will be required to also accept the fence. If the resident chooses not to keep the fence, their request must be put in writing, and if approved the back of the fence may be removed at the resident’s expense. The resident must also store the fence at their expense. Prior to moving out, the fence must be returned to its original condition, or the resident will be charged for the fence and the installation costs. Absolutely no holes may be dug for fencing or anything else unless a digging permit is obtained. Trampolines must be enclosed in a fenced area not to extend post fence line, or surrounded by a locking safety net. All fenced in backyard areas are to be maintained by the resident according to LMH guidelines. If you have any questions regarding the policy on fences, call 270-7638 or contact your Village Manager.

You can win a gift card just for telling us about the quality of service you received. Get your postage paid survey card at move in, at move out, or from your service technician after a service call. In addition, survey cards are available on our website. Return survey cards to your housing office or drop it in the mail, postage paid. Returned survey cards are entered into a monthly drawing!
