Springdays is strategically located on Chennai-Bengaluru Highway NH-46 at Eraivankadu, Vellore. It is just a 10-minutes drive from VIT Green Circle in the direction of Ambur.

Springdays School (CBSE) is a world-class co-educational school founded by the Geethanjali Charity Foundation, a registered trust. Springdays stands on the threshold of a revolutionary take-off from the month of April 2017. The Trust is founded and administered by Mr.T.Rajendiran who also runs the prestigious Lakshmi Garden Matric Higher Sec School, which has consistently bagged district and state-level ranks and accolades.

Springdays is the brain-child of passionate educationists with over two decades of experience in the city of Vellore and across India. Their motive is to use novel yet proven forms of learning that will uncover and cultivate the diverse talents in children and help them achieve excellence at personal, academic and non-academic levels.

Founders

Mr.T. Rajendiran

Mr.T.Rajendiran, a Chartered Accountant by profession, is the founder correspondent of four prestigious schools in Vellore:

- Shrishti Matric.Hr.Sec.School, started in 1997, with the present strength of 1000 students from LKG to Std. XII- Shrishti Vidyashram (CBSE) Senior Sec. School, started in 2002, with the present strength of 1530 from KG to Std. XII- Lakshmi Garden Matric. Hr. Sec. School, started in 2007, with the present strength of 1750 students from KG to Std. XII- Shri Manu Makhija Memorial Shrishti Matric. School, started in 2008, with the present strength of 340 students from KG to Std. X

He has been instrumental in nurturing and guiding these schools towards great success and producing some of the most achieved global citizens. In the words of the alumni-parents ”Mr. Rajendiran has put Vellore on the education map of India”. Today these schools are considered one of the finest in India which are sought after not only by the parents of Vellore but also by Indians from all over the world.

Mr. Rajendiran is also the founder and CEO of MasterJEE IIT Acad-emy, a highly reputed entrance exams coaching center with branches across India and Gulf countries. Under the tutelage of Mr. Rajendiran, all the above institutions have had their students gain admissions into premier engineering and medical colleges purely on merit every year. It is a noteworthy fact that all the above mentioned schools are much sought after for admissions every year, and prove their excellence by securing state ranks and district ranks in all areas of growth, both academic and non-academic.

Mrs. Ananthi Rajendiran

Mrs.Ananthi Rajendiran, Academic Director of the four lead-ing schools of Vellore – Shrishti Matric Hr. Sec. School, Shrishti Vidyashram CBSE School, Lakshmi Garden Matric Hr. Sec. School and Shri Manu Makhija Memorial Matriculation School – is the visionary behind the success and achievements of all the students in their scholastic and non-scholastic ventures.

Her penchant for details, experience in formulating winning strategies, collaborative team work with her staff, consistency at execution and progress, and flair for success make her a unique educationist par excellence. Ms Ramya Sivakumar

Ms. Ramya Sivakumar is a dynamic, new-age industry profes-sional with over a decade of corporate leadership experience. She aims to bring new age thinking and practices to academ-ic education with a focus on building skill sets that are in demand in the industry.

Ramya wants to use technology as an enabler to enhance the education experience and as well as in school administration. Ramya believes in all round development by unlocking the interests and passions of each student and using them to impart education.

Message from the Founder

Fuelled by an overpowering urge to invigorate and redefine the existent culture of school education, and in response to the persistent requests of parents and children in and around Vellore, Gudiyatham, Ambur, Arni, Ranipet and Arcot for a premier CBSE school, the Geethanjali Charity Foundation has taken up as its mission to launch Springdays school. By April 2017, Springdays will commence functioning from LKG to Grade VIII and thereby increase the grades offered year by year.

Equipping myself with extensive research and practice in the education sector and through strong experience as the Correspondent at four other prestigious schools, I have sought to translate into reality, my vision of the ideal school. Timeline of Springdays By April 2017: Springdays will commence from LKG to Grade VIII

The CBSE board provides a well-standardised syllabus and framework for the children to thrive and flourish in. Springdays complements the CBSE curriculum with its ‘Multiple Intelligence Learning’ methodology that provides an education as unique as your child is.

Curriculum

Medium of Instruction

English is the medium of instruction. Tamil, Hindi and French are offered as second languages at primary and secondary school level.

Kindergarten (LKG & UKG)

For many children, Springdays will be their first formal socialising experience with the outside world. With that in mind, the cur-riculum imparted at this stage is made hospitable, enjoyable and yet coherently challenging. With adjoining gardens, play areas and attached toilets, the little children can enjoy the learning process in safe and secure spaces. ‘Multiple Intelligence Learning’ methodology ensures that the child’s freedom of thought, inquisitiveness and desire for learning are kept alive. Springdays facul-ty is qualified and well-trained in imparting education through kindergarten methods.

Multiple Intelligence Learning

Howard Gardner’s famous ‘Theory of Multiple Intelligence’ suggests that every child has seven types of intelligences with varying affinity to each of them. They are logical, verbal, musical, spatial, kinesthetics, interpersonal and intra-personal intelligences. A child thinks, learns and applies better when the teaching method aligns with the intelli-gence that he is strong in. At Springdays, our teaching methodology is based on activities that combine these intelligences in a unique way that will enable every child to understand and learn to their fullest potential. This learning methodology is best imparted in early childhood developmental stage.

Springdays has a distinguished curriculum team that is responsible for constantly refining and upgrading the education imparted at every stage of education.

Primary School (Grade I to V)

As a natural transition to primary schooling, our curriculum adapts the Multiple Intelligence Curriculum into an investigative and inquiry-based learning programme and sustains the child’s interest in learning. When conventional subjects like mathematics, sciences and social studies are taught using this philosophy, it gives the child solid fundamentals to build his or her future. These subjects together with languages, computer science, arts and extra-curriculars are imparted by well-qualified teachers.

Secondary School (Grade VI to VIII)

Secondary schooling is an important stage in a child’s development when his or her seamless energy must be channeled into productive areas of development. The school extends its curriculum to focus more on inter-disciplinary and life-oriented skills like critical thinking, problem solving, global awareness and time management. This school is particular about the right level of rigour for academic and non-academic activities keeping in mind the over-all development of the child.

Competitive Exams

Optional in-house coaching will be offered for Olympiads, NTSE, Foundation classes for Medical and Engineering courses, IIT / NEET through Springdays’ associate institute MasterJEE Academy, a highly reputed competitive exams coaching institute with centres across India and the Middle East. Connected Parents

Springdays also plans to introduce a mobile app that parents can install on their smartphones to receive real-time updates on their child’s activities, lessons conducted, extra-curricular activities, exam schedules, notifications and newsletters. This will help parents to easily monitor and stay connected with their child’s schooling.

Specially architected classroomsSpacious classrooms, each resting on 850 sq.ft. of floor space, with airy ventilation and thorough natural lighting have been designed to create the right ambience for research and study. The building expands tree-like with overhanging classrooms and large green areas for out-door, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. All classrooms have specially designed furniture, adjustable to the height of the child, that aid good posture while sitting long hours in class.

Multi-purpose AuditoriumA proposed auditorium with 800 seats along with a multipurpose hall and three separate courtyards shall serve as spaces to conduct lectures or workshops.

Well- equipped LabsSix state-of-the-art laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Mathemat-ics, Biology, Social Studies and English, and special ICT (Informa-tion and Communications Technology) labs will be at the disposal of the students for practical research. The labs are provided with the latest equipments and will be upgraded periodically to help the children have an enriching experience. These labs, with accessible safety exits, are located on the ground floor and are provided with ample lighting and ventilation on either side.

Infrastructure

Ensconced in the pristine splendour of 8 acres of verdant woods and occupying 125000 sq.ft. in stages, Springdays is a living testimony to the nascent concept of ‘Green Buildings’. In its first stage, Springdays will occupy 50000 sq.ft comprising classrooms, interaction spaces, cafeteria, courtyards, assembly area and labs.

Universally accessible DesignAll floors and all spaces of the school have incorporated ramps thus making the whole school universally accessible.

Architected for the hot summersPlanting of roof gardens on all terraces shall bring down the temperature of the classrooms substantially during the long summers. Extra-CurricularActivities and Creative Arts

Extra-curricular activities and creative arts are an integral part of the curriculum at Springdays. It is fundamental in preparing the children to succeed in the 21st century.

Extra-Curricular Activities and Creative Arts not only nurtures the interests of the child but also promotes his or her all-round development. They give every child a platform to refine his or her talents, which can turn into enduring hobbies or even professional choices.

Children are trained in quiz, oratory and dance through inter-house activities. To propagate a passion and mastery of music, music classes will be conducted for all the children in an acoustically designed, sound-proof music room.

Various annual programmes like Tangram Festival, Art Exhibition, Variety Entertainment shows will be conducted to promote and celebrate the creative talents in children.

Learning Support

Springdays recognises that there are children who need additional support for academic learning but are gifted with other unique talents. To encourage such prodigious talent explore their maximum potential, we have specialist teachers at both the Primary and Secondary levels.

Physical Education and SportsPhysical education is an important component of leading a healthy lifestyle. It helps the children maintain fitness, strength and improved co-ordination of motor skills. Sports activities additionally teach the children team-playing, leadership and communication skills thereby enhancing their over-all self-esteem. The school houses well-laid-out play fields for football, cricket, basketball, tennis courts and a 200 mts running track.

The Annual Sports Day, to be conducted by the school, intends to generate house spirit and healthy sportsmanship through inter-house sports events and competitions. For indoor games, facilities for carom, chess, table-tennis, and badminton will be provided. Professional coaches will also be employed to impart intensive training in all the above mentioned sports.

Student CounsellingAn in-house counsellor is always available for assisting any child needing academic, non-academic, behavioural or developmental guidance.

Medical careThe school proposes to have a supporting infirmary with two on-duty nurses. The infirmary will be well-supplied with first aid and primary medical care equipment and medications to attend to minor ailments of the children.

CafeteriaThe school cafeteria stretches out on 6000 sq.ft. of dining area and 900 sq.ft.of kitchen space. Understanding the quintessential aspects of sound health and a balanced diet, plans are in the offing to provide highly nutritious lunch and snacks for the children. School Library cum Book ClubA well-read man is an indispensable asset to society. The school proposes a massive library that will be updated with newer additions of classics, reference books, journals and bestsellers with each passing year. We aim to match the highest library standards of the country. Reading clubs are part of the curriculum from Kindergarten onwards to incul-cate the habit of reading from a young age.

Transport service:

Spring Days’ buses will ply to and fro Ambur, Gudiyatham, Pallikonda, Ranipet, VIT,Gandhi Nagar, Arcot, Arni, Wallajah, Sathuvachari, CMC, Vellore, Bagayam, Kalpudur and Katpadi. Bus routes will be planned such that it will take no longer than 40 mins for children to reach the school premises even from the farthest places.

Admissions:

Springdays commences admissions for classes from LKG to Std. VIII from the academic year 2017-2018.

LKG : Minimum age of 3 years completed as on June 1 of the year of admission is needed.

UKG to Std. VIII : children from all streams – State board, ICSE, CBSE can apply for admission to classes from UKG to Std. VIII.

School Timings :

8.30 a.m. to 2.55 p.m. for LKG to Std. VIII (Extra curricular activities -optional from 3 to 3.55 p.m.).

8.30 a.m. to 3.55 p.m. for Std. IX & X.

8.30 a.m. to 4.55 p.m. for Std. XI & XII.
