Information:

Included in this set are 12 task cards on integers,, a student answer sheet, and an answer key. These cards are all short answer questions. There are 3 different types of cards (4 of each type). Cards 1-4 ask students to solve the system of equations using elimination. Cards 5-8 have students solve the system of equations using substitution. Cards 8-12 have students solve the system of equations by

graphing.

There are multiple ways I use task cards in my classroom. When students work in pairs, I give each student in the group a card. Students then work together to solve each of the problems. After a

certain amount of time (2-3minutes) each group passes their cards to the next group. When I have students work on task cards by themselves, I pass out the task cards, then set a timer so that

every 2minutes students pass their cards. If you would like to incorporate movement into your class period rather than passing the cards, students can change seats every 2-3 minutes so that they

have different cards in front of them to work on at different times, or you could arrange 3 centers with 4 cards each for students to visit (printing out a double set of cards you can create more

centers!).

I have included a colored version of the cards and a black and white version. Answer sheets are the same for each set. Easiest way to print will be to decide which set you would like, then choose to print

only those pages. The colored set with recording sheets and answer keys are pages: 3-9. The black and white set with recording sheets and answer keys are pages 6-9, 11-13.
