OUR FISH ARE SAFE TO EAT!! I personally talked to Matt Bolang, REHS, Director of
Environmental Health from the Department of Public Health, Environmental Health
Division, Livingston County, from the State of Michigan Department of Health and
Human Services, Lansing, Michigan. He confirmed that our fish are not affected & are
safe to consume. Sandy Bottom, Dollar Lake, Crooked Lake (Ten Mile Lake), & Limekiln
Lake are not connected to the Huron River, they discharge into it, as I informed the
membership at the August 7th unit meeting.
I hope to see you all for a great weekend, August 24-26, at the Fishing Derby!
Nazdar!

A plea has come from the BOI and our head coach Sharon Stanek for help with the task of
tracking, registering and receiving payment from our clients in the gym. It will require 3 peo-
ple, or one person 2 evenings and part of Saturday a week for about 2 hrs each day. Tuesday,
Thursday Evenings and Saturday morning. Sharon's main goal is to run a safe and excellent
class and she is unable to spend as much time in the gym as she feels she needs to. I'm sure
schedules can be worked out for flexibility....the more people the easier it will be. There will be
a short training session to learn what is expected of the position.
Please remember that this class is important to us in so far as keeping the hall open and it is a
great way to contribute....Please let myself,
