What is Maglev?High speed rail technology; train is suspended on a magnetic cushion above a magnetized track and so travels free of friction.
It travels at a speed of 400-482 kmph or higher being suspended, guided & propelled on a magnetized guide-way.
History1900s : Ideation of friction less train by Robert Goddard & Emile Bachelet.
1937-41 : Basic maglev concept was introduced.Series of German patents for magnetic levitation trains was awarded to Hermann Kemper.

ConclusionThe implementation cost for the project was $32M/Kilometer back when the project started but now in this era we can reduce the cost to $12.5M/Kilometer.With the research conducted it shows that maglev is an environment friendly, cost-effective, alternative transportation system with significant public benefits.
