It gives me great pleasure to launchthis issue of SCERT, Delhi Newsletter. Asyou may recall, the SCERT, Delhi wasestablished in 1988 as an autonomousorganization under GNCT Delhi inpursuance to the recommendations ofNPE 1986. The organization providesacademic resource support to theDirectorate of Education and Education Department ofMCD, NDMC and Delhi Cantonment Board so as to achievethe aim of developing quality education in the state of Delhi.Presently SCERT, Delhi is working with 09 DIET’s, 30Recognized Private Institutes imparting ETE Course and 30Recognized Private Institutes imparting ECCE Course.
The Network provides a platform for sharing experienceand expertise for bringing the quality interventions anddevelopment in the field of Education.
Through this newsletter our aim is to exchangeinformation, present best practices, highlight events, and givedifferent perspectives in addressing the various interventionsin the field of education while supporting the legitimate questof various stake holders in the field of educational services.It aims to serve as a platform where SCERT, Delhi and DIETscan think together of the ways to “Develop EducationalSystem in the State” in the face of rapid changes in overalleducational environment.
The news letter will reflect the activities and efforts ofthe SCERT and DIET’s in bringing the quality improvementin the education through its various activities like In Service,Pre Service, Material Development, Research andInnovation. It highlights all the major activities that havebeen conducted during the year 2011-2012

National Seminar on Implementation of Rightto Education Act 2009: Challenges andRemedies
National Seminar was organized by Department of
Elementary Education and Non Formal Education, SCERT.
The papers were invited from Teachers, Teacher Educators
and all others working in the field of education. The Seminar
was conducted from 12-14 Mar’12 at India Habitat Centre
& India Islamic cultural centre.
Objectives of the seminar were as follows:
• To review the Right to Education Act in the present
context.
• To study the dynamics of implementing Right to
Education Act.
• To discuss the various problems and issues related
to Right to Education Act.
• To study the implications of Right to Education Act
vis-a vis teacher education.
• To study the importance of CCE in Right to Education
Act.
• Areas of Research Papers in the National Seminar
• Role of teacher educator in Right to Education Act-
2009.
• Implication of CCE in Right to Education Act -2009.
• Inclusive education and Right to Education Act- 2009.
• Pupil teacher ratio and Right to Education Act -2009.
• Problem of age appropriate enrolment according to
Right to Education Act- 2009.
• Infrastructure facility and Right to Education Act- 2009.
• Role of Community participation /NGOs towards the
implementation of Right to Education Act -2009.
• Functioning of Un-aided/ Private schools under Right

The seminar was organized with an attempt to fulfill
the gaps between present school education system and
provisions of Right to Education act -2009. For the
seminar papers were invited from the people working in
the field of education from all over India. During the
three days seminar 18 candidates presented their papers
which was followed by a session for open discussions.
In-Service Teacher Education ProgrammesUndertaken During 2011-12
One of the main functions of SCERT is to organize
in-service training programmes for school teachers in
pedagogical aspects of their teaching subjects as well as
other important themes.
The Heads of Schools and Educational administrators
are also imparted training in educational planning and
management whereas other persons in the field of school
education as Lab Assistants, Librarians, EVGC etc. are

also imparted training in their respective fields. Besides,
various workshops are also organized by faculty
members for development of Training modules for
teachers, Lab Assistants and others; Question Bank and
other teaching learning materials and also for orientation
of teachers, HOS, faculty members of SCERT/DIETs;
IEDC Incharges etc.
During the year 2011-12, SCERT in collaboration with
the Department of Education, GNCT Delhi, organized
training programmes for teachers (TGT/Assistant
Teachers); Librarians, Vocational Teachers, Physical
Education and Yoga teachers etc. as per the INSET
calendar proposed for 2011-12 except the training
programmes for PGTs. All the training programme have
been organized in small groups of 50 or less participants
with 3-4 groups in one centre under the coordinatorship
of SCERT/DIET faculty. The sessions were interactive,
participatory and activity based conducted by
experienced and trained resource persons.

In- Service B.Ed Programme of 2011-12SCERT has been conducting B.Ed Programme for
Assistant Teachers of Directorate of Education, NDMC
and MCD since 2003. Eligibility of the course is 5 years
regular service with Graduate/ Post Graduate degree in
school subject.
For In-service B.Ed programme Intake of the students
is 100 and seats of the concern departments are DOE-65, MCD-25 and NDMC-10
• Enrollment in 2011-12 Academic Session:

which 14 are from DOE and 5are from NDMC.

1. Interactive session on ‘communication skills in
English’ by Ms. Sheelu Mary Alex.
2. Various videos shown related to work experience
activities namely- newspaper bag making,
thermocol flower basket, flip flop making, show
piece with the help of Tissue paper. Gel Candles,
Diya Decoration, Glass Painting, Nib Painting,
Book Mark and Block Printing.
Educational Visit
* Educational Tour to SurajKund Craft Mela, Faridabad
Haryana was organized on 4th Feb, 2012 to sensitize
students toward cultural heritage of India.
Activities of Educational Tehnology Department:
1. Launching of SCERT website(www.scertdelhi.nic.in)
SCERT Web Site was designed with thrust on
Transparency and Openness to place the Vision,
Objectives, Functions and Achievements of SCERT
and DIETs in Public Domain. It was also envisaged
teachers and public will be able to interact with us.
2. Providing SCERT website(www.scertdelhi.nic.in) with DIET Linkages:
SCERT also provide linkages for the 9 DIETs with
SCERT website with their individual User id and
password which are updated regularly with their
DIET information, District information and faculty
profile etc.
3. Uploading of e-learning material:
Uploading of all learning materials including Video
Programmes developed by SCERT, publications of
SCERT to increase access of stake holders.
4. Digitization of Tape Based Educational VideoProgrammes:
Digitization was done of Tape Based Educational
Video Programmes produced earlier in SCERT and
were Uploaded on the SCERT Web Site.
5. Production of standardized video module:
SCERT has taken a project “Production of
Standardized Video Module” for standardization of
quality teacher training.
Under this Project following Video Programmes were
produced :
* Quadratic equation.
* gravitation
* CCE.
* RTE.
* Inclusive Education.
* School Leadership of the Knowledge Enterprise.
6. QUESTPAEDIA: a state repository ofeducational e-material
“QUESTPAEDIA” is a Project of SCERT which is
a link on SCERT Website (www.scertdelhi.nic.in) that
was taken under PAC during 2010 - 11.
Under this Programme SCERT invite the Learning
Material to General Public , Teachers , Teacher
Educators and Students. letters to approximately 100
Universities for the contribution were sent.
7. Faculty development Programme for Video,Scripting, Production & Editing:
15 days training programme in workshop mode was
done to develop trained human resource in SCERT
in different specialized areas of educational video
programme production. Other objective was to
increase the number of educational video
programmes produced by SCERT and DIETs and to
achieve standardization of Teacher Training.
State Research Support GroupThe SRSG has provided all types of support to the
project in-charges as and when they required at different
stages of their research project. The work done include:
• Receiving monthly progress report of research
projects from all the DIETs,
• Organisation of meetings/workshops for providingresource support at different stages of the researchprojects,
• Providing resource support in the workshops organisedby the project in- charges for sample selection anddevelopment of tools for data collection,
• Providing financial support to the research projectsadvised to be conducted by UEEM, Delhi,

• Preparation of abstracts for the research studiesconducted in DIETs/SCERT, Delhi.
• Preparation of module on ‘Action Research in schooland Classroom’,
• Preparation of reading material and power pointpresentations on different important topics related toresearch,
• Preparation of the paper School Organisation andManagement under renewal of ETE curriculum,
• Providing support to Examination Cell as Convenor(Admission) for ETE and ECCE Course 2011-13.
• Providing support in the process of recruitment ofcontractual lecturers for DIETs/SCERT, Delhi,
• Organisation of educational excursion to the DIETsand SCERT of Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) andpreparing the report of the same.

Library AutomationThe project of Library Automation was started during
this financial year 2010-2011 and continued during theyear 2011-2012. During this year, the work of retroconversion of Library Records was completed in themonth of May 2011. Thus, in total 15421 books havebeen entered in the Library. Software, namely Limsys,were purchased in the SCERT Library. The list of thesame in the form of CD was also forwarded to ETDepartment for uploading on the SCERT Website forinformation to SCERT/ DIET/ Faculties and others foraccess and consultation of books through Library.It is
also to mention that SCERT Library has spent an amountof Rs. 22060/- for annual maintenance service andupgrade for Limsys Enterprise 3.0 to Renuka AssociatesPVT. LTD., New Delhi.

Pre- Service Teacher Education (PSTE)The curriculum transaction for pre-service pupil
teachers at DIET, DG is specially designed to fulfill the
society’s expectations of an effective, efficient and
sensitive teacher. Each batch has a unique curricular

Orientation of ETE trainees on differentactivities:
To prepare the pupil teachers for School Experience
Programme they were given lots of exposure to different
issues, techniques of teaching methodology .They are
sensitized to learners’ psychological and social needs.
To achieve this goal, special talks and different

1. Exhibition organized by the teacher traineesduring SEP on Teaching-Learning material
The teacher trainees of first and second year
organized an exhibition on the teaching-learning
material have prepared themselves and also exhibited
material, prepared by the school students during the
entire SEP. This exhibition was scheduled on 21st ofDecember 2011 and 22nd of December 2011. The
exhibition was also the part of the assessment of the
teacher trainees during SEP.
2. Exhibition on Educational Pedagogy
An exhibition on educational Pedagogy was organized
by DIET, Darya Ganj in its premises on 3rd January
2012 and 4th January 2012. The exhibition was
inaugurated by the Dr. Rashmi Krishnan, Director
SCERT, and Dr. Pratibha Sharma, Joint Director
SCERT. The exhibition aimed to present the teaching-
learning materials and aids which were prepared and
used by the teacher trainees during SEP, for making
their classroom’s teaching learning process more
effective, joyful and interesting.
The teacher trainees executed the methodologies they
used for teaching during SEP. the material displayed
in the exhibition also contained the teaching aids
prepared by the school students under the guidance
of our teacher trainees. The exhibition was based on
few themes, and also focused that how a teacher
can use various innovative and joyful techniques to
make the concepts more clear and comprehensive
to the students.

The District Institute of Education and Training have
been conceived as a vibrant institute for bringing about
qualitative transformation in the quality of a teacher.
DIETs are meant to be nodal institutions for improving
quality of Elementary Education in the district. Since its
inception, this institute is actively involved in various
activities towards the achievement of the goals of
Universalization of Elementary Education.

Workshop on First Aid was held in the DIET
premises on 3rd Feb, 2012. The Workshop was organized
under the guidance of Sh. Dinesh Kumar, the Principal,
DIET Ghumanhera.
Workshop on English Language TeachingAn English Language Teaching (ELT) workshop was
organized for three days i.e from 29th Aug, 2011 to 1st
Sept, 2011 in the DIET premises for ETE 1st year
trainees. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Meena
Sehrawat & organized with the help of Master Trainers
trained by British Council.
Information and Communication TechnologyThe role of ICTs in the Teaching-Learning Process
is inevitable and unavoidable. Rapid changes in the
technologies are indicating that the role of ICT in future
will grow tremendously in the education The programme
was coordinated by Mrs Laxmi Dagar in the month of
Jan, 2012
Theatre In EducationSh. G K Vedhera co-coordinated a workshop along
with Dr. Pravin Kulshrestha on ‘Theatre in Education’

Inclusive EducationA workshop on ‘Inclusive Education’ for ETE II year
trainees was held on 14th September2011 to 16th
September2011 in the premises of DIET Ghumenhera

School Experience Programme (SEP)The practice/practical aspect is important of any
professional development programme and it is also the
core of the curriculum. It is the component, which
provides the operational and live context for understanding
theoretical components. It provides actual experiences
of the field through which one gains insights into
profession while entering into of the field. The practice
component has been recognized, accepted and looked
upon as the most significant component of a teacher
education programme. It was organized from Oct.-
Dec.2011 in forty three schools.

Some Innovations made by the InstituteTo improve the quality of SEP, the institute prepared
the lesson plan which also included assessment: mode of
assessment, rubrics, and techniques. The lesson plan was
based on constructive approach, activity based teaching.
For rotation a tool was developed by Dr. Meena Sehrawat
& Dr. M.M.Roy. Teachers’ Observation Checklist. Not
only this, they were asked to give more emphasis on
discussion with the pupil-teachers after observing classes.
This has really developed in them, a great inquisitiveness
to know their weaknesses and strengths and generated
a fondness for the teaching.

making process for the rally organized on 26th March
2012. They prepared posters and slogans on various
themes like Women education, RTE, Gender sensitization,
Education of Girl Child and Inclusive education.
Literacy RallyLiteracy Rally was organized on 26th March 2012 in
the nearby villages of DIET Ghumanhera. Rally started
from the DIET premises on 11. A.M. Rally was supported

District Institute of Education and Training (DIET),
Karkardooma is committed to provide quality training to
the future teachers through pre service teacher education
programme and refreshes the knowledge of in-service
teachers at elementary level for both MCD and DoE
schools with the latest innovations in teaching by
undertaking action research and developing teachers
handbook, organizing workshops, seminars, extension
lectures, excursions etc. It also organizes capacity
building programmes for the principals of MCD schools,
CRC In-Charges and community leaders. The faculty
of DIET, KKD extended its support to S.C.E.R.T. in
different activities starting from admission process to the
evaluation of results of E.T.E trainees, coordinating
different training programmes and revision of ETE

Report on School Experience Programme (SEP)(21.10.11 - 24.12.11)
School Experience Programme is a field based
DIET Keshav Puram

programme which provides a real classroom experience
and opportunity to practice and groom various teaching
skills of pupil teachers. The programme refers to
functioning as a regular teacher and involvement in all
school activities. SEP was organized from 21.10.11-
24.12.11.
Meetings of School Principals of Sarvodaya schools
and MCD schools were organized on 3rd and 4th
November respectively. Principals were apprised of the
activities to be conducted by trainees during SEP.
Prior to SEP Micro teaching helped I year trainees
to understand different teaching skills. Demonstration
lessons were given involving II year trainees.
Discussions on different components of SEP were
done with trainees. Trainees were oriented on Building
as Learning Aid (BaLA), Mid Day Meal Prog, Conduct
of Parent-Teacher Meetings, Conduct of Household
Survey, Action Research, Conduct of Achievement Test
and Report, and Innovative Practices.
SEP was organized in 32 schools which include both
MCD schools and Sarvodaya schools.
Highlights of the Activities performed bytrainees during SEP
Trainees organized co-curricular activities, celebrated
festivals and organised functions which include
Conducting Morning Assembly, Eco Club Activities,
Bulletin Board and School Premises Decoration and
Beautification, Celebrations of Children’s Day, Diwali
Celebration, Sports Day Celebration, Christmas Day
Celebration and Annual Day Celebration.
Other Activities organized for ETE Trainees
Local Excursion
Local Excursion has been organized Suraj Kund Craft
Mela for II Year trainees on 6.2.12 and for I Year trainees
on 8.2.12. Trainees observed and learnt various crafts
and skills under the guidance of faculty members. Visit
was coordinated by Ms. Saroj Malik of Work Experience
Unit.
Performance by National School of DramaA Play performed by the artists of National School
of Drama was organized on 6.2.12. Title of the play was
‘Adal Badal’. Play beautifully highlighted the parental
instinct. After the performance trainees interacted with
the artists of the performance and discussed the learning
points and challenges for such activity.
Educational Tour to Himachal PradeshA five day tour for ETE II yr was organised to Manali-
Snow View Point (Rohtang Pass)-Manikaran-Rewalsar-
Chandigarh from 9 to 14 March, 2012. Outstation
educational tour is an integral part of ETE curriculum.
This year DIET chose Himachal Pradesh for outstation
educational tour to fulfill the objectives such as:
• To develop understanding about life-style and culture
of the place
• To develop social values like cooperation, adjustment
etc.
• To develop sense of belongingness, sense of
responsibilities.
• To enhance confidence level and decision making
ability
• To develop understanding about geography, climate
& their effect on life style of the people living there.
• To develop aesthetic sense about Beauty of Nature.

DIET Moti Bagh
DIET Moti Bagh is one of the nine DIETs, established
under the aegis of SCERT. It has been working for
bringing qualitative improvement in the Government of
NCT of Delhi following the recommendations of NPE
1986 since inception in 1989. It caters to the needs of
District South for achieving the qualitative improvement
in Elementary Education.
Workshops, Excursions, Visits and Extension Organized
Training of Pre-Service Teacher Education(2011-2012)
Every year a total number of 150 Teacher trainees
are enrolled in the E.T.E course. Out of the 150 teacher
trainees enrolled for the session 2010-2012, 147 teacher
trainees successfully completed their Diploma Course in
Elementary Teacher Education.

Inclusive Education –An Abridged Report
The seminar conducted by the DIET Moti Bagh was
to orient Assistant Teachers of MCD and to provide them
with hands on experience in the areas of various
disabilities. It is an effort to enable these teachers to
identify the children with special need and can help them
in learning effectively.
Lectures, Demonstrations’, Discussions and Field
Visit to Centre at Lajpat Nagar for Hearing Impaired
were covered. Teachers were oriented as to identify
children with Hearing Impairment and how to deal with
these children in an Inclusive Classroom. If needed where
they have to refer these children. Parents Counseling
was also adequately covered .General awareness about
Ear hygiene, myths and misconceptions were discussed
in detail.

Training of Community Leaders (CLT)DRU unit took initiative to celebrate the International
Literacy day (ILD) which falls on 8th September every
year with ETE trainees. Songs, Skit, Debate, Nukkad
natak and Slogan competitions were held. All the trainees
actively participated in these activities.
Trainings of Community Leaders:DRU Unit of DIET conducted a three days training
of the community leaders comprising of parents who are
members of P.T.A, other concerned parents, V.K.S.
members and teachers in four phases. A total no. of2826 persons were trained against the target of 2904
persons.
Material Development and PublicationsFaculty of DIET Moti Bagh was involved and
extended their support in development of material for
providing enriching and updated resource support to all
categories (Assistant Teachers, TGT, PGT) of teachers.

Resource Centre for the Hearing ImpairmentAs part of Policy and Strategic Intervention, every
DIET was assigned an area for establishing a Resource
Centre for their respective Districts in the year 2010-
2011. DIET Moti Bagh was given the area on Hearing
Impaired. A Concept and Approach Paper was prepared
and presented by Dr. Seema Srivastava at different
forums which took a shape of a Proposal, focusing on-
Training, Referral &Advocacy. DIETs Role, Vision
& Mission was well defined and proposal for Phased-
Study was prepared including setting up of various Focus
Groups involving DIET Faculty. Networking with
different agencies was done to begin a Plan of Action
by each Focus Group. The Major Achievements and
Breakthroughs are as under:

Celebrations in the DIET :1. Orientation Week: Welcome of fresher (I Year

Activities conducted for Resource Centre forTheatre and Cinema in Education
Collaboration with outside agenciesDIET got in touch with different agencies that are
working in the field of Theatre and Cinema. A number
of meetings and long discussions with them regarding
the activities of the Resource Centre and their meaningful
transaction as well as integration with school curriculum
were carried out.
These agencies include the National School of
Drama, National Book Trust, Children’s Film Society of
India, Centre for cultural Resources and Training, Katha,
National Museum, Department of Arts and Aesthetics
in Education (NCERT), Filmi Chashma, Bal Bhawan etc.
Training of Pre-Service trainees and In-Serviceteachers
Since the inception of the RCTC a number of training
programmes for the ETE trainees as well as the in-
service teachers have been organised where the focus
has been on the importance and use of theatre and cinema
in education. How by exposing children to films, plays,
stories, games, puppet shows, music and other such art
forms the class becomes lively and the whole learning
experience becomes joyful and better lasting.

HIGHLIGHTS OF SOME OF THE WORKSHOPS
Workshop on ‘Films in Education’A three day workshop on ‘Films in Education’ was
organised for ETE trainees. Main focus of this three day
workshop was on – selection of films, how to use it in
classroom and how to ensure students participation by
identifying the key areas in the film on which discussions
can be held during the film viewing by pausing the film
at appropriate times.

DIET on regular basis for which the ETE trainees are
given exposure about the use of these media, script writing
based on different themes or curricular concepts, puppet
making using different types of materials and finally
enactment. Use of theatre, role play, drama, puppetry,
story enactment are regular interventions in schools
during the SEP. The in-service teachers are also training
on the use of these media during the INSET programmes.

Interventions in Schools• In year 2011, Kala Utsav was organised in 52 SEP
schools of the district. In the Kala Utsav, each group
of trainees placed in a particular school had selected
a theme for the utsav and organised all the educational
activities using visual and performing art forms related
to the utsav theme. Some of the themes of the Utsav

Implementation of Arts Education in schools as
envisaged in NCF 2005 depends a great deal on the
teachers involved in the teaching learning of the subject.
Their clarity about the subject, subject matter, its nature
and concept and adequate training on the appropriate
teaching learning methods is of utmost importance.
Keeping this in mind, a collaborative initiative with
Department of Education in Arts and Aesthetics (DEAA),
NCERT and DIET undertook a project in respect of ‘Art
Integrated Learning’

Education for Primary Teachers
Ten Days Training programme based on this
Package a for 40 MC Primary school teachers from
selected 20 MC Primary schools of District West was
conducted.
Course Design of this training programme included
sessions on different themes in the training package. In
all there were seven modules in this package.
Five days workshop for Second phase of training
on Capacity Building was organised.
Main focus was to share the teaching experiences
by the school teachers based on the work done by them
post first phase of training in their schools with respect
to the Art integrated Learning activities.
Some of the experiences shared by the teachers
showed how students were taking this mode of learning.
They narrated increase in participation level in the class,
increased concentration in classroom activities,
behavioural changes, lots of enthusiasm among children
and more curiosity about the activities they would be
doing.
Another Highlight of this training programme was
dissemination of the First draft of the document
“Guidelines for Primary Teachers on Art IntegratedLearning” that has been prepared by DEAA, NCERT
to further facilitate teachers of class I-V on
implementation of Art Integrated Learning in classroom
situation. Main highlights of the document are:
• Sharing of experiences by teachers and teacher
educators in the shape of Case Studies from
classroom teachers of primary classes
• Facilitate teachers plan their teaching learning
strategies keeping in mind the broader guidelines
of AIL
This material has the possible potential of enhancing
an insight of evolving /creating individual methods of
teaching learning among users.
Preparation of ‘Teachers Handbook on Artintegrated Learning’
• An exemplar material created by DIET Rajender
Nagar showing application of AIL in different school
subjects developed collectively by the teachers as
well as teacher educators.
• An effort to develop reference material on AIL in
classroom situation.
• In all 20 types of art activities identified and linked
with teaching of different concepts of different
subjects
Main focus of these activities involves participation
of all the students without further expenses; cater to
multiple intelligences, different learning styles and different
abilities of children.

Organisation of Sakshar Bharat Yatra, DIET, RNDIET, Rajinder Nagar organised a rally on 27/03/12
to build environment for Sakshar Bharat Mission. The
rally was marched by ETE I year trainees along with
DIET Faculty members and CRC Coordinators of Distt.
West.
The trainees held the banners, poster with slogans
on Literacy, prepared by them. Faculty members and
CRCC also accompanied the same. They also interacted
with the people there and talked about this march on
literacy. One NGO Kala-Trust was identified during the
march.�

The sanctioned strength of DIET faculty is one
Principal, 2 Sr. Lecturers and 5 Lecturers. In the session
2011-12 Lecturer Foundation, Lecturer Teaching of Hindi,
Lecturer Teaching of S.Sc and Lecturer Teaching of EVS
were appointed on Contract basis. Lecturers were
appointed by SCERT and posted in DIETs. However
post of Lecturer Teaching of Maths remained vacant
throughout the session and we invited Guest Faculty to
take up the paper on Teaching of Maths. For paper
Health and Physical Education and Art Education there
is no sanctioned post so we engaged Guest Faculty.

School Experience Programme is a vital part of
Elementary Teacher Education Programme. It provides
experience to the student teachers along with an
opportunity to exercise their theoretical learning in the
field. This Year SEP for ETE First and Second Year
teacher trainees was conducted from 23.10.2011 to
24.12.2011.
For SEP mixed group of Ist year and II nd year trainees
was sent in all the schools. In addition to supervision by
Regular Supervisor, ETE II year trainees conducted
Action Research, whereas ETE I year trainees conducted
Case Study. All the trainees conducted Parent Teacher
meetings and did the neighborhood survey. Trainees
conducted Achievement Test, Analyzed the result and
prepared the report. All the Faculty members were
involved in supervision and providing guidance to trainees.
Principal DIET also frequent visits of all the schools and
guided the trainees. Instructions given to trainees,
expectations from supervision and information to school
principals were also developed and given in printed form.

Church) was organised for ETE II Year students of DIET
R K Puram from 5th March to 14th March 2012.
Following staff members escorted students for this
educational tour.

Through this trip students got knowledge regarding

students.
Eventually, it was a wonderful trip because of its
planning and management. Everything was well organised
and systematic taking meals, accommodation, travelling
etc. in view making the journey light and enjoyable which
removed pallor of hecticness.
So such trips must be organised frequently to provide
full fledged knowledge to students and to upgrade their
cognitive level. These trips enhance students teaching
skill which makes theme profession and traces long span
knowledge in their minds.

Poster on YUVASCERT is running Yuva cell which caters to the
Social, Emotional needs of Adolescents. Adolescents-
the Population in the age group of 10-19 years- live in
diverse circumstances, they naturally have diverse need.
When parents and peers fails to provide them emotional
support they really needs the help of a professional
person who can really feel their needs and provide support
to them according to their desired needs. ‘Yuva cell’
SCERT is running Yuva Help Line which is open for
every Adolescent of National Capital Territory.
Each Trainee of DIET R K Puram developed a
poster to promote Yuva Help Line and also five handbills
to popularize Yuva Help Line. They distributed these
poster and Handbills in various Schools.
