CHOOSE CHRISTHoy es el Día de la Elección. Los catecúmenos que han termi-nado la etapa de formación inscriben sus nombres en el libro de los elegidos, comenzando así la etapa final de su preparación y purificación antes de recibir los sacramentos. Todos somos ten-tados como Adán y Eva en el Jardín del Edén. El propio Jesús, nuestro Señor y Mesías, fue tentado en el desierto. Pero, gracias a su obediencia, por su muerte y resurrección, nosotros recibimos el don de la salvación. Si seguimos a Jesús paso a paso, también nosotros podemos vencer la tentación. Incluso podemos pasar de la muerte a la vida resucitada de Dios. Dios nos elige a nosotros. ¿Eliges al Señor?

Today is the day of Election. Those coming into the church are en-rolled in the Book of the Elect and enter the period of purification and enlightenment. We are all tempted as Adam and Eve were in the Garden, and even as Jesus our Lord and Messiah was, but with his obedient passover work for us we can receive the free gift of salvation. We can get through temptation as Jesus did by following him on his way—even through death to the resurrected newborn life of God. God chooses us—do you choose the Lord?
