I joined Sunrays in the Cartagena Yard period as hairdresser/housekeeper. I completed two busy Mediterranean seasons and a full re-fit during the winter of 2014/15. Over the Christmas and New Year period I also worked as sole-Stew on-board the owner’s 49m yacht in Dubai for 2 months. I was promoted to 2nd

Housekeeper and also provided 5 months of relief to the Head Housekeeper, whilst she was on leave. I was solely responsible for all inventories concerning

Hairdressing and Spa, along with crew uniform and toiletries, this included ordering and distribution.I was required to do the guests’ hair most days during trips and multiple hair-ups for weddings and special events. Other duties on board included, accompanying the Owner during shopping trips, weddings and functions.I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of leading the interior team and feel very lucky to have gained such knowledge on my first boat.

Personal Interests/HobbiesI have grown up as part of a large family who have always embraced the outdoors. I am confident taking out the family boat to go wakeboarding and fishing. I also enjoy camping, yoga, hiking, cooking, snowboarding and art.

It was essential to make sure that the salon was kept in immaculate condition and running smoothly at all times. My hair extension work is renowned to be of the highest quality in New Zealand and have a large celebrity client base. In such a high pressured and fast passed environment, it was crucial to manage time effectively and prioritise my workload.
