E6 CATHOLIC MEN’S CONFERENCE All Saints Parish, in association with the Batesville
Deanery, is hosting its 2nd annual E6 Catholic
Men’s Conference on March 4th, 2017, at the East
Central High School Performing Arts Center in St.
Leon. The conference will be held from 8:00am to
4:00pm with an optional breakout session
immediately following close of the conference with
Dr. Ray Guarendi for those interested in attending.
Our speaker lineup this year includes: Patrick
Madrid, he will be giving his talk entitled “Turn Away
From Childish Things and Become the Man Christ
Wants You to Be”; Anthony Munoz, he will talk on
encouraging men to grow in their lives mentally,
physically and spiritually; and Dr. Ray Guarendi, clinical psychologist, world
renowned author, speaker, and national radio and television host.
The E6 Catholic Men’s Conference is designed to bring men into a deeper
relationship with Christ and His Catholic Church through: a worthy celebration of
the sacraments, engaging talks to strengthen their faith, opportunities for true
fraternity and exposure to good resources to aid them in living their faith as
disciples of Christ. In a world that is losing a truly biblical understanding of
masculinity, fatherhood and brotherhood, this conference aims at equipping men
to put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand as men of Christ.
Admission is $35 for Knights of Columbus Members and $45 for other
men. Lunch included. Sponsorship and limited vendor opportunities are available,
please visit www.e6catholicmensconference.com for more information.
NEED PRAYER? Prayer needs are addressed in two ways at St. Louis. In the
vestibule of church is a Prayer Request Notebook where
anyone, at any time, can write prayer concerns. The
Members of the Prayer and Praise Ministry commit to
praying daily for these intentions. For more urgent prayer
needs (illness, surgery, etc.) there is a Prayer Chain that will
get dozens of people praying immediately. To begin the
Prayer Chain, please call one of the following:
Janice Werner, 932-9200 ; Erma Hartman, 934-3678; or Viola Fullenkamp, 934-3316
Ministry of Prayer and Praise Intentions for January For the Holy Father and all priests, that the Lord will make them zealous and
uncompromising preachers and teachers of the truth.
That the prayers offered for Vocations will result in an increase in vocations to
the priesthood and the religious life, and that young men and women may
always seek and discern God’s will.
That all those who are suffering distress after the holidays and during the
winter months may not despair but rather may turn to Jesus for healing,
courage, and perseverance.
For Catholic schools as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, that they may
continue to form our children in the fullness of Christ’s truth and respond to
the challenge of secularism with a clear presentation of Catholic doctrine and
moral values.
For blessings on all those participating in the March for Life, that those who
witness to the light of Christ will convert those who walk in the darkness of the
culture of death.
