Line transformer 600 Ω/ 600 Ω + lightning protection ApplicationThe DIN rail mountable voice frequency line transformer 25LU40 is intended to isolate the RTU500 FSK modems (frequency shift keying) from the pilot line and to protect the RTU500 equipment from high voltage disturbances. The 25LU40 operates with very low transmission loss in the working frequency range from 300 to 3400 Hz applies to line impedances of 600 Ohms and to the ABB modems 23WT23, 23WT25 and 560FSM10. The test voltage is 2.5 kV at 50 Hz. Protection is guaranteed through the integrated sparking gap, fuses and 10 kA arrestors.

A high-resistance staggering is possible with both types of mo-dems on e.g. party lines and multidrop lines. This is because the line transformer has no additional load at the line.

Description – Isolated line transformer for galvanic isolation of

transmission line – Lightning protection 7.5 kV – Snap locked – Voice frequency FSK channels – Ratio 600 Ω/ 600 Ω – Isolation test voltage 2.5 kV

Line Transformer 7.5 kV, 2-50 kHzApplicationThe line transformer 560LTD00 is designed for FSK channels with 9600 baud to isolate and protect the RTU560 Modems 23WT24 and 560FSM11 from the telecontrol line. Moreover it can also be connected to other data terminal equipments. It operates at a frequency range from 2 kHz to 50 kHz and is opti-mized for line impedances of 150 Ohms which applies to above mentioned modems.

A high resistance staggering is possible with both types of modems on e.g. party lines and multi-drop lines. This is because the line transformer has no additional load at the line. In con-figurations using full duplex communication channels two line transformers are required, one for transmitting direction and one for receiving direction.

DescriptionIsolated line transformer for galvanic isolation of trans-mission line – Operates at a frequency range from 2 kHz to

50 kHz (23WT24 and 560FSM11) – Isolation test voltage 7.5 kV – Optimized for line impedances of 150 Ω – Ratio 1:1 – Insulation resistance: 10000 MΩ at 500 V between

windings and the case
