    Since you've been gracious enough to come by to read this spreadsheet, then please let me say thanks for reading!

    I hope that you learn something out of this experiment. I intend to take this seriously and include some progressive statistics to conclusively prove to others that the MMR ranking systemfor DotA2 is indeed accurate at providing an overall Match Making Rating (MMR) score. I also hope that those of you who want to dedicate themselves to be able to play a stronger game, can learn from my experiences and if any of you have any questions or concerns or would prefer to see me do another hero, please don't hesitate to ask me.

    The goal of this experiment is to prove that the MMR system used by Valve in DotA2 is accurate in determining the overall skill level of a player. As such, I will be taking records of eachgame played and provide my commentary and reviews of the game. I will also be splitting the Game Logs (GL) by MMR levels, starting from 2278 (my starting point). The MMR levelswill go from 2278-2750, 2751-3250, 3251-3750, 3751-4250, 4251-4500. As I move up in MMR, the games should be progressively harder and harder for victory and opponents moreaware of the map.

    Conditions for Solo:- I will be playing every role during Solo- I will be playing every hero depending on the heroes chosen by the captain.- I will not limit myself to one hero.- All recorded games are with Ranked MM.- The vast majority of my games will be Captains Draft and Captains Mode. I will not captain more than 20% of the games.(If nobody chooses to be captain, then I will choose to be captain if it reaches 2 seconds and under, this still counts to the 20%)

I didn't really have a'newbie' phase so much as others since I continuously went over to my friends house to watch him. Eventually, I saved up enough money to buy the game and I've been playing ever since. I didn't start competitive until after DotA Allstars 6.48b. The first time I played a competitive game, was with Viper. I failed epicly and then I found out how to orb walk. Back then itwasn't known and I knew at that point, I was seriously still in the newbie phase even after all those years. My MMR fluctuates between 4.9k -> 5.3k.

    I see that there are a severe lack of warding as well as actual support plays. There isn't any actual inappropriate warding being done because there aren't any wards being bought. Courier upgrades are few and far in between and usually I find myself upgrading it even though my role doesn't call for it. However, I did notice that so far, the captains are extremely thoughtful inpicking the requested heroes and the attitudes were much better. Another side is that most teams don't know how and when to push. In that case, what I see is actual people trying to pushwithout any delicacy. They just run into a lane with their allies and try to kill a tower, which usually prompts my team to have a standoff with them. As such, many of these pushes thathappen in mid lane end up being a 2-3 minute standoff with either side being too scared to initiate. Whereas I would be just farming in a side like waiting to come in with a TP until the fightstarts.

    MMR: 2751-3250

    I didn't really see too much of a change at the very beginning, but now I do feel that the quality of players are getting better. There aren't that many 'retards' that I can see. But I have hadgames where people are definitely trolling. I will count that as one offs, but so far, my skill is enough to make up for the differences created by these heavyweights. I have no problems sofar with supporting although I am clearly dying noticeably more and dominating noticeably less. This can be seen in my Deaths/Game being on average twice as high and the dropping onthe kills. My assists have remained consistent though overall. Warding is in general much better although supports are definitely still very easy to pick off and predict. One example is whenI play ember, they are using their spells with no regards to their positioning. Consequently, they do end up getting wiped or they line themselves up for a combo. Shadow Shaman andDeath Prophet are getting banned a lot more often than I thought. It's easy for a support to win the lane; however, I notice that people are trying to do too much of their role too hard.Supports end up buying too many wards and don't level up fast enough or the carries try to overfarm such that they actually don't end up doing anything until it's already too late.

    MMR: 3251-3750

    This bracket was pretty hard actually. People take picks extremely seriously (like me) and then end up raging when things go south. I've had a lot of games where people ended up griefingand strangely enough, it was a LOT harder to win because their attitude was so bad that they wouldn't even attempt to play the game out or would purposely fuck the game over if theydon't get the heroes they want. I had a lot more fun at the lower MMR levels because people attempted to work together. I did like the fact though that my allies are much more reliable inwhat they do, and for example, I can reasonably expect the Lone Druid to farm his radiance by 20 minutes if he's in the offlane. I do realize that they are still somewhat greedy and tend tooverfarm or over support. I've had many games where my teammates were simply impossible to argue with and I ended up converting into a semi-carry (ie: check my cm games) and I wassolo pushing and being successful at it. I still feel that this bracket has tremendous problems with fighting when they should or pushing decisively. Many of their pushes were broken or theywere too busy doing their own things. For example, if there's a teamfight middle, the carry would be farming jungle instead of pushing the opponents lane and tower.

    MMR: 3751-4250

    I thought the last bracket was 'tough', but this bracket, especially around the 3950-4100 MMR took a LOT out of me. I got pissed off at so many people because the game wasn't evenabout the game. It was more about people raging because things didn't happen THEIR way and when they wanted to get vision, they wanted the support to cater to them specifically. No.I'm not going to give you three wards to ensure absolute vision around middle area. You should pay attention to the MIA calls and also the non-said calls because you should have somesort of map awareness. And in the case you DO get ganked, you don't rage and start running your hero mid. This bracket was done midway when the patch hit, so the meta changed a bit.Captains were much more competent this bracket and chose decent line ups; however, i do encounter the troll captain where he picks up a lineup like this one: http://puu.sh/8DKjq.jpgwhere I ended up being a pugna support for a pudge/qop lane. I could also reasonably rely on my allies to farm up and that makes all the difference. If there ever was a trench tier, the3950 and 4100 MMR range is probably the hardest range mentally because there seems to be an abnormally huge amount of trolls there. I do admit that I had to mute people and I diddodge games just because i ended up on their team on another occasion. However, after i passed the 4100 MMR, the games are much better in quality in terms of attitude.

    MMR: 4251-4500

    This bracket was filled with a lot less ragers. People did seem to know what they were doing and the only difference between them and 5k was their efficiency as well as the decisionmaking. I was really surprised tbh on how fast I went through this bracket.

    Outplaying enemy team. Picking was a huge factor. I don't normally play rubick, as I've only played him ~25 games out of 2500+.However, I can still do decently with him provided I'm given the right resources. See what sort of mistakes were made especially atthe rosh pit when I went in at the 23:31 (game time) after losing the team fight - should you want a oh shit moment. Also, managedto steal quite a few good spells and capitalized on that (morph on rubick is OP).

    Positioning. Look at my positioning throughout the games and during team fights. Again, this is a VERY difficult moment and yougot to pay close attention to your opponents. As a support, getting caught in any AOE spell is usually enough to get yourself killed.

     Always watch who you stand with. I make mistakes and get hit all the time, the question is more of how much I can learn from mymistakes and obviously, you may also get in a position where you're like...oh shit, i didn't even go in because I didn't see anopportunity.     This is an example of a typical game with my build (although you can still technically do this as a roam/solo laner). I had completefree farm with 17 minutes getting my core (Vlads/Treads/Aghs). It got a bit rough, but my positioning and them using their spells onthe other heroes allowed me to dominate them. Omniknight repel allowed me to skip going BKB and I was pretty much unkillable as

    none of the opponents went diffisal blade against me. Once I won a team fight, my hero snowballed and we kept taking theraxes/towers.

    Note: I did not participate in THAT many fights at the early time and focused more on pushing/farming solo. I played it right inguessing where their heroes were and dodged the defenses/ganks. Their weaver positioned himself incredibly badly in fights aswell as their invoker and I took them out early and very quickly. Again, my thoughts are that this is a 'snowbally' and 1 trick pony(although very fucking strong) build. Tiny gets kited very easily and has a lot of problems dealing with any sort of heavystun/aoe/spell casting line up. However, he excels at taking on more traditional squishy carries like AM/Weaver/etc (though theyare getting picked less and less often). Tiny's main pros are his PUSH and BURST. This build is dedicated towards being able tolevel an entire lane within 10 seconds and only works if your team is able to provide a very good distraction.

    This is an unranked game. My storm (friend) is about low 4k and wanted to do his compendium hero and isn't good with it.

    Was not necessary to buy too many wards. Enemy team's composition and play style were really weak. They leftthemselves open so much it was hard to not try and kill them. Played rhasta like he normally would...objective basedgaming and forcibly pushed towers.

    I went mid this game,. The enemy team went a Kotl/PL/Lone Druid/Furion/DP push line up. I did attempt to counter themas much as possible, thankfully, the nyx was decent at playing. One thing to note aboute their picks was that they don'tcome online very quickly. Kotl PL takes a while and it gets shut down by Nyx' carapace. Another thing that they weren'tvery good at was that they shouldn't have had 5 pushing a lane, and should've been doing 4 push, 1 side lane push. Stillvery weak on avoiding ganks here because I did manage to gank them easily still with no real problems. Gyro's farm wasabsolutely terrible and he wasted his entire trilane farm. My team did flame me for getting outpicked, because their line upwas a very scary push.

    Was a 4 Earthshaker. There was a lot of rotations by our mid player and our meepo player was quite good. I wassurprised at how well the meepo played and I used the time that the mid player was spending ganking to farm up quickly. Ihad a 10 minute blink that was definitely aided by the first blood kill. I went soul ring as it was a cheap alternative to manaboots, but I was still running out. ES most important thing is to secure the mana regen, and I was playing an aggressivestyle, which prompted me to go mana boots as well. Please use soul ring AFTER you drop your mana boots. Pick up your mana boots right afterwards and you'll be at almost 80%+ mana everytime during the early-mid game.

    I wasn't playing as a carry this game despite the Wraith King. I played him as a support and ganker. Later on when itbecame clear that I had time to farm, I went into the jungle to farm and ganked when the lane was pushed to our tower. Irushed a soul ring + blink dagger to make sure that I was always able to chase/stun. I noticed that at this MMR range, thereactions and responses are VERY slow

    First time playing an actual hard carry. This was a captains draft game, so oddly enough, nobody called or wanted a carry.I didn't have too many issues with farming nor did I have any laning problems. The only time was when WD came into thelane and auto attacked, but once I asked him politely to go pull, he never got in the way again. They rotated all their heroes top to try to stop my farm, but that didn't work too well since I harassed them very well with the 2nd skill.

    Just bought the wards/chicken and continued buying obs but didn't place. Most of my gold came from jungling as well as just staying alive. Staying alive is such great gold and I believe that's the only reason why I managed to get an 18 minutescythe despite not being the main farmer in the lane.

    This was dedicated to a request that was made by my friend to teach him how to offlane a bounty hunter despite themhaving sentry wards. To be fair though, bristleback + jugg vs BH doesn't make it a fair match up and I easily dominatedthat lane. If you have any questions on how to play a BH offlane, just ask and I'll do my best to answer.

    I accidentally forgot to switch the mode so I ended up in an all pick game. Don't ask me to play meepo again, i'm godawful at micro. The reason why they did terribly was that they laned poorly. I levelled up very quickly and they did notcontest or ganked me. I also pushed and farmed the jungle + lane while they were busy moping around trying to teamfight.

    The DP was much better in lane and capitalized on farm. The opponents were slightly more organized, but didn't positionthemselves according to who was missing. Hence, why when I went in from behind, there was actually no counter or evenpreparation to fight on another front. As for the Ember Spirits game, there are too many of them here, so I will try avoidingpicking/playing him; however, there was absolutely nobody interested in captaining (odd?).

    We were outpicked here. And the Luna...was farming atrociously slow and gave FB to the solo sven top. The push aspectof the team relied too heavily on having ultimates up and that's what would've cost us the game if the enemy capitalizedon us and forced us to use our ults for a fight versus passively waiting for the push. Initiation was key in this game and if we wanted to have an easier time, clockwerk really should've opened with his hook versus waiting for the rhasta to getinto position. He also needed to use battery assault a lot earlier, and that would've affected a lot of enigma's ultimates if hedid that. As for their sven, him not stunning the shadow shaman and immediately using a BKB was what really cost themthe fights. He was hexed immediately and unable to fight and their ES needed to jump into the fight beforehand with a

    BKB as well. Vision was sparse and I did spend too much time trying to farm because I realized fairly early onwards thatthe Luna would take forever to farm (22 minutes treads yasha) and also since I saw her miss a ton of CS. I did buy acouple sets of wards, but nearer to the end of the game, I focused more on trying to figure out a way to get my doubleserpent wards in their base (which is a garanteed rax at that point). Honestly, this was THE hardest game to win as I feltthe CM was only useful here for the ultimate and she fed so much without contributing to the observer wards. I had amuch higher amount of deaths here this time because I was caught out by Viper once or twice and I sacrificed myself inan attempt to save the DP. Shadow Shaman is a risky pick for this line up because they have a lot of long range and mymobility is very limited due to low MS and getting hit by ES fissure, Black hole, viper, etc will cause me to be unable tomove. I should have bought a blink this game though.

    I would say that laning phase, they were better, but decision making was weak. The gyro did not go rocket barrage andended up missing a lot of kills. I was a lot more aggressive (a bit too much) because I saw that he was not using hisrockets. Also, he was denying his disruptor the ability to last hit when I used battle hunger on his supports. Leaving mewith the first blood. Later on, I was spending a bit too much time ganking, so I quickly rotated towards farming up the blinkdagger. Aside from that, the team played it fairly smart and managed to grab a few kills. The tinker on the otherhand wasmainly insurance to win in the late game should it come to that point.

    They had really odd lane choices. Allowed me to get very strong ultimates like rupture, serpent wards, etc. The storm wasdouble ganked and didn't have enough map awareness causing me to gank him at an early level. They went abloodseeker suicide lane, which was extremely odd and ineffectual. I was surprised by the invoker as he was playing quitewell and also keeping an eye out for ganks as shown with his sun strike. My death was because I was too greedy anddidn't think they would try to gank me.

    I spent too much time ganking this time around and wasn't able to farm optimally. Also, I was missing the combo's,honestly, the game was frustrating because the lanes were constantly being pushed out. It wasn't too difficult this gamebecause it was simple to farm and there wasn't that much pressure from the enemy heroes. Warding wasn't an issue nor was there any other problems other than my tornado/emp failures.

    Was a bit difficult as the sniper had no map awareness and made terrible decisions. He gave up first blood because hetried running the long way to base while being chased by an enemy with haste. The kunkka in my lane was lagging andmissed all his torrents despite having a stun/toss set up. I was surprised that the tuskar was doing very well, so thatcontributed to the victory and I luckily had a cm on my team. As a tiny, that was huge because I would have the mana tocombo and it helped me a lot. The vlads helped me jungle a lot which enabled me to get my aghs quickly and taking their towers. On the other hand, their shadow fiend played a ridiculous troll game in which he would constantly buy backwhenever possible. And then he TPs back to the fight and finds himself in a position of death. That cost them the gameand any sort of mid-game power as that set him back more than 1k+ gold despite him having an extremely strong firstblood and early game.

    Had an easy lane. I grabbed the quick aghs and vlads and side pushed them extremely fast. Tiny excels at quick pushesand is just as fast as a lycan pushing a lane. In the turn of one team fight of 15 seconds, I solo levelled an entire lanebefore they could disengage and defend. The jakiro did fairly well at making sure that we farmed well and kept up thevision. He definitely should've gotten his 3rd skill though as that would've greatly helped our pushes as it also slows tower attack speed.

    Support/Roam. I dc'ed at the beginning so I had a late start at minute ~3-4. I picked up a few opportunistic kills here andthere. At the start, I got into a fight with the TB who majestically thought that being a TB granted him the rights of being theonly hero that should be last hitting. I spent most of my time going around for opportunistic kills or jungling. Constantlymoving around while gaining EXP allowed me to maintain and keep up in levels to still be near the top despite not havingany lane to farm in. When allied heroes leave their lane, quickly move into their lane to soak up farm and EXP. Manyplayers and supports tend to miss out on this and thus are subsequently lower levelled than they should. A support withlevel 6 (ie: rubick) is infinitely more important th an the TB with sunder.

    Was a cookie cutter game. Despite the grand lead, my team was extremely underfarmed and didn't have much skill tofollow up with many of the set ups. ie: Tornado set up, omniknight doesn't use his heal immediately upon landing.Radiocartney did very well, their PA, despite being in such a disadvantageous position.     I was babysitting a luna in the lane as a role 4. This was a really weak game as the only reason we won was because of the drow/luna/venge aura stack that enabled me to have an easy permanent double damage aura while pushing. Mapawareness is still really terrible in this bracket. The t imbersaw did not see any of the incoming ganks until it was too late.Similar for the drow in middle did not notice 4+ heroes off the map for the ganks. Wards are still not that big of a factor ingameplay. However, carries are noticably getting slightly more farm than usual. After seeing a ton of missed CS, I went to jungle and ganked with sun strike and mask of madness for the dps. It was a glass cannon build, but ha ving +100 damageat 13 minutes in the game is no joke.

    Well, this was a terrible pick game. And captain didn't listen. Other side is that the team wanted to completely abandon, sothey decided not to win or even really try. At one point, the lich decided to feed the enemy team alongside of our courier.There was a lot of things that could've been improved on, but it was mainly attitude and outlook. If people just tried their best regardless of picks or game state, they might be able to eventually turn it. And THAT is the biggest difference,because there were so many situations where it could've been turned around IF people just tried to play normally. And atone point, we were actually making a good comeback. Even the team managed to startr to believe they could win, butthey still didn't listen to the right directions. IE: starting a fight without the two cores, which in turn threw the game.

    Carry Spectre. Was a bit tough because I was against Weaver. I had no ranged supports to zone him out, so I keptrushing towards him to force him back. It was a back and forth lane and it would've been impossible to win it if I didn't havea tree + vanguard to help me survive. The trick to spectre is to max your 2nd skill and to combine your ult with another gank. It is a near instant kill as your illusions get at least 3 hits off. Desolate deals the pure damage, so it's very strongagainst any low HP supports like Shadow Shaman. Once spectre has radiance, her damage output increases a lot, but it'sstill very difficult to secure any kills since she has no nuking power.

    Mid Solo Ember. I picked this game due to nobody selecting captains spot. The doom was game throwing with his Doomsand using his ult on creeps. Venomancer complained for 30 minutes about how it was impossible to first blood with the

    lane and he couldn't harrass a shadow shaman and disruptor with venomancer. The trilane did fairly well, consideringvengeful spirit seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. I went around picking up kills with the searing chains +sleight of fist combo. It's difficult to get off just one target and I'm trying to learn that still, but it's a bit difficult with thetiming. If there's 2 units, then it's doable. Always try to keep one of your remnants outside the fight in case the fight goeswrong. Then you can easily port out. The only problem was if I got silenced by DP or Disruptor. Thankfully, it onlyhappened twice and not anymore as the sprees got pretty huge. It's actually really difficult to not choose carry or solo midas I really don't want to leave the game impactful heroes to the other teammates.

    Solo mid BS. Weak picks coupled with stupid lanes. The disruptor refused to support or be useful and afk'ed at thefountain for the vast majority of the game. Prior to that he would be pushing a lane like a creep. I think he went to go readmanga or jerk off. Was better off using Disruptor as a chicken. Necrophos had really nothing useful to add into the gameexcept for his ultimate, but there was a lot of disable and I didn't go BKB because I sort of didn't care at one point. I wentdagon to go for the cheap kills since we had no ability to fight against them in any fights or in any of the skirmishes. Doomdied a lot of times without managing to cast his doom despite him getting shadowblade and them not getting any sentries.Not too sure how that happened or why it went the way it did. Laning phase was definitely easy though.

    I'm surprised that I managed to get an offlane and they didn't counterpick me so hard. I thought it was going to be anaggro tri, but they went defensive with their heroes. With that, I managed to gain levels which was crucial for a bristlebackmatch up. Once I reached level 3 before them, I managed to outkite them with an early boots and manhandle them at thevery beginning of the game. I picked up a quick urn because I was running out of regen and it was a good offensive itemconsidering I was only really able to damage them by stacking quills. This was really a 15 minute rax, but bristlebackhimself isn't that great a pusher.

    Naga Siren aggro tri as a support. Picked up the kills quickly and managed to get an early mana boots due to the allyviper (carry) having horrendous last hitting abilities. We pushed the tower fast and because of that I managed to grab arelatively fast Radiance considering i was buying the Obs wards. The radiance allowed me to farm and helped increasethe damage output greatly in fights. After that it was a constant push and farm while the enemy team had difficulty in fightskilling the viper and razor due to their natural purge/slow abilities. I would say that it was more of the strength of picks thatcarried the game as it was very difficult for them to pull off any sort of combo without me stopping it.

Not too sure why we won this as we were entirely outpicked. It was just a case of who'steam didn't know how to play their heroes.

Their puck did manage a very early blink dagger which allowed them to set up and kill a lot

    of us. I was the main target of the naix and I couldn't stop him from charging me so I swapped in another enemy hero.

I died a few times being too greedy thinking they weren't at a level that they'd gank. Was very easy to get super strong ultimates off because nobody on their team were really aware of their positioning still.

I was able to zone them out with sniper relatively easilyand so I really didn't end up getting picked off in fights.

The CM didn't bother stacking for me, so it was alot slower than anticipated, but still OK considering I picked up many solo kills. My luna went midas and subsequently got pooped on for the vast majority of the gameas she didn't have anything to deal with the lycan charging at her and the sniper just...sniping her. Thankfully, this was anon-factor as I managed to get full ultimates off with my blink and stun, which ended up wiping their entire team. Theynever got a BKB (didn't farm it) and never got a pipe.

Our team fights were somewhat reasonable, except we had no coordination in comparison to theirs. They had many blinkswhich allowed them to initiate almost whenever they wanted to. Void afk farmed for 30 minutes but got shit items for it andcouldn't dish out any sort of damage. It would've been more useful to have void solo offlane.

The game was a stomp as there wereno wards to counter my future roshes and we had no wards on the map because all the supports were really greedy thisgame. Luckily, as we were just straight up running at them, the wards weren't too necessary as the opponents justgrouped up in front of us instead of hitting us from the side.

    Sand King solo. Was very worried about this game because my trilane of Luna, Potm, SD fed 9 kills by 4:55. My nyx middied solo to the batrider. Thankfully, my lane was easy because I was against centaur, but I had some severe problemswith my trilane being utterly worthless. I carried the game though through very well placed ultimates and was able to blinkright into the middle of all of them. Their Gyro went BKB but he was way too slow at activating it. By then the SK ultimatehad pretty much killed him as he would be immediately stunned. I queued the blink and the veil so it was as most damageas I could get it. I would immediately sand storm afterwards so they couldn't touch me. Their supports were extremelyweak because they were lining up for stuns and got hit by every single AOE. Their warding was extremely weak.

    Solo Mid Storm. This was one of the hardest games I've had to play. I really did think at one point we were going to losebecause their offlane clinkz was able to get an orchid before I did. However, their carries and supports threw the gameand got picked off a lot. I aggressively rushed them and luckily I didn't get focus fired and killed. I should've used the hexproactively on the CK or WK nearer to the end of the fights. I realized that storm's should play as aggressive as possibleand pick up kills. By going defensive like BKB, you waste a lot of potential output with him or pick offs. Unless they have aton of AOE, it's not worth it, but if it's target spells, it's very difficult to touch storm. My cm played exceptionally well and myshadow shaman...although really badly, he picked up his slack a lot and pushed a ton with his wards. He 'won' the endgame by pushing their top solo while we were keeping them busy mid with team fights. They should've went for the throneas soon as shadow shaman put down his wards to kill their last lane because they would've came in too late.

The team played relatively well given their heroes and the game sort of went as expected minus their Lycan building mask of madness first before his book 3. 16 minutes for the core items.Would need further testing to see viability due to weak lycan player.

Teammates are definitely getting 'better'in the sense that they are able to use their skills on the right targets when apparently very obvious. I'm seeing peopletrying to get the 'best possible scenario' like my puck who holds out for a kill and wants to get 5 man coils.

    Support CM. Saw that our trilane was in a terrible position and so i stacked and pulled for early levels. Bottom was not in any situation of death, but they were having troublefarming, which was sort of unsalvageable. So, it was better for me to rotate around the lanes. I see that the opponents hada lot of trouble with learning vision and I had wards up in vital spots without really finding any of their wards. We had somestrong team fight which allowed us to easily cover for my no HP dps build as CM.

    Support Shadow Shaman. Was really tough early in the trilane, but had some strong early ganks despite giving up FB. Irotated bottom immediately to get jungle XP and we ganked the bristleback. With some good team fights, I managed toget my Euls relatively fast. One thing is that positioning was extremely crucial in these fights and I managed to isolate acouple heroes like slardar and get full duration shackles. My team flamed the shit out of each other and we graduallystopped talking. Sven called me a retard a couple of times because I missed my initiate twice, but didn't recognize the factthat I had participated in 7 of the 8 team kills whereas he had only 2. That and I was keeping up with warding as well and

    keeping the map open with relatively good vision.

    Warlock Support. I bought the shit out of that shop. I had so many sentries on the map, i counted at least 14 sentries onthe map. I overwarded, but that clinkz was a sneaky fucker. We had extremely weak lanes and honestly, if the opponentswere better, we should've lost this game. We technically lost all our lanes because centaur was feeding, lycan couldn'tfarm and warlock + lich is as useful in the lane as a techies without his mines. I had no damage nor did the lich becausehe went ritual and i went heal. I think the major turn around point was when we defended against their main push mid andI had my aghs up right at that moment. Which enabled a 5 man double infernal ultimate + a perfect fatal bonds with anupheaval. Thank god Infernal fists go through BKB and shits on DK and Viper's armor.

Was aggressive early and picked up an easy kill early (the other veno support got FB).They ran around a good 2 minutes early trying to stabilize their lanes because their lifestealer was in a lane where he wasnot able to even get creeps and their supports weren't able to handle the SK/Veno roam. My team was a bit flamy towardsthe WK support because they didn't see him as useful, but I think WK's biggest asset is his healing (which scalesincredibly well to the late game) and his 7 second stun (which is fantastic and one of the shortest cd's in the game for a 2sstun spell.

They had an ET top as well which screwed around with my diving ability,so I played it passively.

    Support Shaman left to solo top. Idiot hell is the more appropriate name for this level than MMR Hell. The medusa refusedto lane and tried to ancient his camps except he kept getting harrassed by a lvl 1 venge. The sven decides to go bottomwithout enough regen, so they spend the next 8 minutes at bottom sitting around with 300 hp and get one hit nuked anddie. Same with leshrac. The storm spirit didn't do shit with his hero all game because he stood middle free farming thelane, yet somehow managed a 23 minute orchid. He did tp into 4 heroes directly and died. As soon as he came in, the VSstunned him and they all focused him. Sven played exceptional for a downs syndromed baby. His stuns were greatbecause he would stun a fully hexed hero and by the time they got out of hex, his stun was already off. He also couldn'tdecide which unit to kill and would in the end try to kill everything and end up killing nothing. THe last fight he turned onhis mask of madness, took a vs stun, bane brain sap and 2-3 hits from wraith king before dying. Which is still shit becausehe got one shotted by the wraith king's crit. All in all, the team was pretty stupid and I really don't think anything I could'vedone would've changed that unless I took a core hero. I already bought the chicken and smoke and took the suicide laneand won it before getting busted by 3-4 man hero dives for the next 8 minutes. Vision was an issue and despite theobservers placed, people still ended up getting ganked after being pinged like 40 times. Muted the entire team.

    Offlane Lina, i picked. Well, I actually fucked up picking and randomed lina instead of taking brewmaster, but it worked outanyways. I went max passive after getting a point in each of my spells. It helped my harrass ability and I also managed toget 3-4 auto attacks off on razor. I also was able to kite a lot easier and dodge his spells. It got very rough in the mid gamebecause SF and Ursa didn't manage to farm anything worthwhile and so we were on the defensive for 40+ minutes.

Hence, why shadow demon was such a crucial pick because hecould disrupt their combo's and allow me to ult everytime.

    Mid solo Viper, this was a lvl 1 rosh strat. It was a pretty easy game, but I fought with the ursa a lot because he was toobusy crying for his abaddon to shield him. I'm glad I didn't play that hero because it was absolutely terrible to hear himkeep squawking for his shield. They were definitely outpicked, but it wasn't really fun to hear him talk all the time so he gotmuted. I didn't go mek because of the lich declaring he is buying it and rushed an aghs. I still don't think the 'Aghs on lichis a thing' because those unlimited bounces almost always never get to the point where you see 7+ bounces anyways.

Anchor smash dealt a lot and kept the sven from being able todo any really strong damage. This was helped in part by the thd who was very good at tping to lane to countergank.

    Kunkka Carry. I actually queued and was with the players that got stomped last game. It was a pretty interesting gamebecause the BH dominated that NP so much that it snowballed into the other lanes very hard. Was a bit tough for me tosecure XP and farm because they had a lich. Once BH started roaming, I took his lane and farmed up my bfury and itallowed me to get what I needed. We were very far ahead in gold because of the track kills as well as the fact that their heroes had no real counter ganks aside from magnus. Their alchemist wasn't allowed to start being a problem because of the Bane/Kunkka/wd combo.

    Solo WD. I just went cask + heal and ended up maxing heal because of strenous situations where I needed to keep myally alive, so I skilled it. In any case, Heal sustained our team fights and pushes and literally was the reason why all myallies were keeping their HP up during our dives. I went vlads as well because it was a very good item for its cost. +5armor to all allies as well as mana, HP regen and life steal for the melee carries. It helped in keeping the creep waves andput constant pressure on their towers. The enemy team gave up very quickly despite their picks being much better.

    Offlane Windrunner. I don't really see why I needed to solo here as it was really difficult for me to get anywhere. My trilanelost to the bh solo and fed about 3 kills there. Morphling went midas and never managed to finish his ether blade anddidn't use morph until very late. Was a clusterfuck with axe and abaddon screaming at each other through the mic. Endedup muting everybody on my team because it was just too much to listen to their petty fights. Clinkz got stomped by the SFand didn't really do anything. In any case, our mid and late game and team fights were terrible as we had nothing to really

    stop or heal or interrupt the void/shadow fiend and we went greedy lanes.

We wereinitially raping and winning our fights, but we lacked enough crowd control and that was the problem as we didn't haveenough to kill anybody once they started getting too tanky and there were a lot of the illusions.

I ulted right in the middle of the cogs and upheavaled and they couldn't run out.Some really stupid stuff happened this game and I don't know how to interpret this win.

    Naga Carry in the trilane. Our storm died due to some extremely stupid pauses and proceeded to flame and give up therest of the game. I farmed alright considering I went arcane boots and couldn't bottle for my creeps. The game suddenlybecame insanely easy once I picked up the radiance + travels. I still need to work on the micro because I would havemany instances where naga would be standing in one spot. If i were to recommend something to stop their pushes, it is tokill off their spawning creep wave from behind with the illusion and then your allies spam clear their approaching wavefrom the front. Once that is done, they have no wave to push and they have to face backdoor protection. However, thisstrategy does not work unless you have decent long ranged nukers like puck/windrunner/earthshaker and you need to killall the creeps otherwise the backdoor protection won't activate. Clearing their behind waves effectively made their pushincredibly difficult and also gained us a lot of time and damage on their base towers.

    Mid Razor. Had a very easy time middle because I got fed by the silencer and I had some epic rune guessing. I died a bitafter getting a spree because I was overconfident and overestimated my HP and underestimated their gank potential. Iplayed a lot more safer and that was better. Their AM rushed a battlefury with no items, which left him with insanely lowHP and was super easy to kill. He wasn't able to flash farm very well either. It took a lot of effort for them to kill mebecause I went HP/Damage/Movement speed items (SNY, Aghs) and since we lacked push, Aghs was definitely the bestchoice since it takes down towers very fast. I got lucky and farmed up a refresher and got a rampage because they hadsuch low HP heroes, my ult was taking down buildings and before they could get a spell off.

Once I picked up the early gem, they were unable to teamfight us effectively and Ialways dragged a hero out of the battle to be killed later or immediately.

    Clinkz mid, i picked. Was a bit worried when storm fed fb and then tp'ed and died again bottom versus tide and lich. I alsodebated very heavily on a BKB, but it was more useful for me to rat around and get blink dagger. Blink dagger seriouslyhelped a lot in extending my range as I could blink to get another 6 hits on an escaping hero. It also helped me when Iwas sieging their base as it allowed me to get away instantly and still get 2-3 more hits off. It was a bit tedious as well infights because tide's ultimate was hard to escape, so if I were to fight, I would have to rat around on the edge, picking off any enemy hero that wanders too closely.

    Support Sand King. Captain initially said that he was going to let me solo except he decided to pick doombringer after our weak lanes and they obviously fed so hard. Vengeful didn't manage to farm a boots until it was past 25 minutes, doomdidn';t get devour until 4 minutes after laning phase and batrider took 20 minutes to get his blink dagger after boots. Hegot beaten extremely hard middle and also didn't max his sticky napalm. The other team played their lanes well and had amuch better hero composition.

    Sven Carry. Was a bit worrisome early onwards, but their team composition lacked oomph and teamfight. They were in aposition where they had to clump up and Sven/Magnus/Tide combo really made it super difficult for them to initiate or toeven fight properly. The other thing was that they lacked any sort of reliable damage and that made it so that they couldn'tever really win the fight. The teamwork in my game was pretty decent considering they tp ganked and fought together.Vision was lacking to counter the TA, but it was alright because she wasn't really that big of a problem when I casted myWarcry because it gave us so much armor. If there was anything different in this game, I would've definitely gotten somemore mana regen early on in the laning phase instead of relying on cm aura.

Zeus got into an argument with clinkz/CK and ended up using his ult purely to KS whereasdazzle kept randomly getting picked off and not doing anything worthwhile with his spells.

Their picks I thought were better overall, but they didn't have the individual skill to pullit off effectively. Veno didn't zone out DK as he should've and their trilane was getting zoned out by the LD solo bottom.

These games are extremely hard as the morphling that Iwas paired with last game shit on the nyx to give you an idea on how weak some of these players are. On their side, theywere doing pretty well until the Ember's double bfury/daedelus harrass started really stomping on them. However, until itgot to that point, it was extremely difficult to get a good fight in because a few of us would get picked off everytime. WraithKing's death state is really good to use as it's a super slow and that made a lot of them unable to get out for 3 seconds.The ancient apparition that was supporting with me and bought wards later after I converted to semi-carry did quite well

    and hit his ultimates.

    Warlock Mid. Tookk forever for this drow carry to farm and farmed shit items. He rebought BKB and had no damagecompared to their heroes. Our shadow demon did fine as well as the supports, but the weakness lay in the carry this timeand I was gettign focused by their venge/skywrath with blink a lot despite my full build. The enemies are much moredecisive in these games and it was tough to fight as our centaur was also very passive and somewhat slow. Shadowdemon did well in killing, but didn't like saving allies.

    Ember Spirit Mid. Played very aggressively and ended up almost dying many times. I did think if I went to stop the nyx, Iwould have lost too much but it's very debatable. I realized that searing chains level 1 is so weak, it's terrible and I'mvirtually forced to max out searing chains now. This balance fix was quite...painful for ember and I think that i am forced toskill searing chains over the flame shield. Flame shield came in handy, but I would pop all too often and I needed tosurvive a lot better. On the other hand, their puck was very weak as a solo mid player and never managed to get his blinkbecause we were constantly killing him while we were fighting. I did buy back once in order to return to the fight and get adouble kill, but it wasn't worth it as I died later and was left with a 71 second death timer at lvl 11

It was apretty easy game and they weren' t able to capitalize on their heroes just because of their skill usage. Puck couldn't blinkwith phase shift usage.

Luckily, we had 2 other strength beefies thattanked the damage and dealt a lot because they all went mjollnir. I survived most team fights through picking off theheroes with hex and my ultimate and usually grabbing the invoker first.

    Sand King Support. Was a lot easier game because the supports were competent (rubick). He force staff initiated and wasat the right time and place for many of the ganks. As for drow, it wasn't exactly a good build, but it pushed well and fast.Our potm although solo top, farmed quite a bit. Kunkka didn't really know how to combo with his spells properly though.Their team's lanes were terrible and they definitely could've capitalized on the dk solo mid more than morphling. Their warding was OK as they were able to find out where we were and also had some sentries for the latter game fights.

Their lanes were very weak and had no synergy with a push strat asthey had a furion first pick, yet chose no supports to work with the hero itself.

Their DS wasa really weak player as was their mirana as they were leaving themselves open a lot to ganks and got themselves killed inquestionable positions. I feel that there is a really big gap between 3900 and 4200 as the 3900s in this game were reallyhorrible at watching the map whereas the 4200 were much smarter about their playstyle.

Rotatedto quickly crush the top so that our clinkz had the advantage and the rest was just snowballing.

Warlock needs ateam to do damage and we had nobody to hold them in spot so they kept getting their TPs off in front of us withdazzle.Pugna played it like a dumbass and wisp didn't know his relocate showed where we were relocating. Ursa boughttranquil boots and had trouble farming the vlads. All in all a ridiculously stupid game. Wisp fucked up our own teamfightsbecause he relocated the core hero out of the fight, I was debating if he was actually trying to throw or was actually thatbad. He was the highest MMR 4k on the team.

    Rubick Support. Got matched up with the Razor from last game. He fed the AM/WD lane as a solo clockwerk three times.Wasn't that rough because their AM built a midas and didn't get his bfury to flash farm. Consequently, the PA starteddealing a lot of damage and they couldn't side push us. It was a lot longer than it should've been because the PA wasn'tdoing squat other than killing heroes and backing off before taking the rax/throne for the longest time. The puck was quitesensible and did his job whereas the Skywrath mage with me was busy flaming everybody without actually helping withthe wards/supporting, which was...OK, as i had it all covered. Their magnus took forever to farm his blink and was stilluseless with it as he never got a good ult off. Their players had a lot of problems synchronizing with each other.

    Undying Support. Difficult to make plays in the latter stages of the game as their brewmaster got extremely fed andtombstone wasn't making a difference. Fighting was difficult with the LS being half brain dead and not being able to playhis position properly. I got one play off early in the lane because I managed to keep decaying, the rest were crushed withthe brewmaster constantly getting haste runes and our qop being unable to CS against an empty lane farming a 30 minutelinkens. Need to take more active part in following through on playing with Muted players as my QoP was muted alreadyand his friend was the LS. Despite the LS afk'ing trying to farm for the latter half of the game, he was the least levelled andthe least farmed.

    Viper Semi-Carry/Carry. Was well played by my team, I drafted this game and they played their parts very well. It was arough semi-early as they immediately started 5 man pushing and took 5 towers in the span of the time I was farming mymek/treads. I laned viper/tree against VS/Luna/AA and we lost it as I couldn't touch creeps either. However, the tree armor allowed for the cent/veno lane to crush the drow solo and the SF to beat the DP. Which was worth it, however we hadissues defending towers at the stage where they 5 manned and I didn't even have my ultimate. We turned it around withour defense on the top t2 tower with the centaur blink/ultimate which dropped the DP extremely quickly and allowed us tosteamroll them. That was pretty much the rest of the entire game in that one fight in a nutshell. Treant got 3 levels in thatfight and we kept 5 man wiping them. BKB's didn't really help as I got my aghs upgraded viper ultimate which basicallyneutralized any BKB'ed heroes. Their draft was OK, but they had all squishy heroes, no counter initiate other than a VSswap, and too many farm oriented heroes to be able to farm their BKBs. The lanes aside from their top was weak, butthey had a LOT of damage on their heroes from the aura stacking....but they couldn't make use of it.

    Clinkz Solo bot. I think i did my job against the DS, I wasn't really able to kill him, but I farmed well against him. However,our trilane was a lot weaker in terms of skill as well as our mid. Our viper didn't really do anything to counter gank and waslower levelled than their supports, which shows that he didn't really make use of his mid solo. Our mirana didn't farm verywell either and fought with the sand king who eventually kept dc'ing and reconnecting, to throwing fights by wasting hisultimate beforehand, and forcing fights 2v5. I tried the original tactic of trading towers/pushing other lanes, but it didn'twork well this game simply because their push was much stronger than ours.

Was a really annoying game because our puck played like he didn't know how to playpuck and used his skills in the wrong order or got picked off properly or died using agility treads with an empty bottle. Justso many things that went wrong. Our kunkka went soul ring, urn and then phase boots by 20 minutes and I managed a

    blink dagger, arcane boots, soul ring. I then managed to farm (through ganking/fighting) my shadowblade faster thankunkka's despite him being the farmer in our trilane. The puck did get better over time, but he still played weakly and hadtrouble getting himself out of tight spots or initiated after we clearly said WAIT FOR US. Thankfully, the opponents hadissues with clumping, chasing too far or getting themselves caught alone and too far out.

    Lina support. We had some problems with our slow moving supports against their trilane, but our Razor dominated themid huskar really well. Pugna lost his lane to lich, but their ember was not very good and didn't make use of his early goldadvantage. Razor made the most plays and the pugna ward helped a lot in the team fights as it neutralized thelich/skywrath/ES from getting too many things done in the fights and almost killing them outright everytime. Our teamfightwas fairly strong considering we had a lot of good disables and we had the advantage in pressure as their ES had noplace to get gold.

    BH offlane. Had some serious issues with our carries. Kunkka went boots then shadow amulet against timbersaw anddidn't have hp regen. So he kept getting himself killed. Gyro couldn't farm too well versus zeus and so he got nuked downinsanely fast. Our supports were really squishy and i think if we had to have any sort of chance, we should've went aggrotri. Their heroes had much better teamfight and damage than ours and basicaslly no counters/hp regeneration to survive.Thus once zeus had his aghs and refresher, the entire team just fell down dead. I would say that we got outpicked andoutplayed here.

    WR Offlane. This was a complete reversal and counter pick. And the team played it pretty well, it was a bit rough top lanebecause the undying was learning how to use his hero and the opponent dazzle started raging after they started losingfights.

    pudge trilane and a tinker offlane. We had control because we were pushing extremely hard early, which is probably whywe secured the advantage. Pudge and I managed to get a lot of early kills on the offlane, which allowed us to get our items very quickly. They played it terribly and that is why despite their heroes, we managed to beat them in the push andtheir tiny also didn't get any bkb items. So, we decripted and blasted him with magic spells.

    Venge Support. I kept rotating and wasn't seen and managed to pull off a lot of ganks mid because their batrider wasplaying way too forwards for losing his lane. His supports didn't rotate at all. THe opponents gave up quite early so I justfarmed a dominator and farmed creeps until they made a small comeback.

    Sven Carry. Their dazzle got caught out of position a lot early and that snowballed and gave us a lot of opportunities to killthem in the trilane. The top lane was doing OK, but not great partially because our bear didn't get the venom orb toharrass tide. Tide is very hard to solo 1v1 especially when his anchor smash negates pretty much all the damage youdeal. Middle was crushed, but the opponent SM got ganked too much and died too quickly. He also didn't build any tankitems, so he would die whenever I would start smacking him. They also had big problems with clumping up as I managedto get 2-3 hero stuns a lot.

    Ursa Carry. Had a shit start in that i accidentally built tranquils again. I really hate how the build for tranquils screws upwith vlads. That set me back alongside of a failed roshan gank twice. We picked it up and managed to make a goodcomeback and punish them for their midas' but we really played sloppy.

    Warlock Support. Had stupid lanes, still managed to win because their players were very bad and didn't capitalize on their advantage. Ended up muting half my team again as they were flaming too much. Asking the team to swap the lanes andthen subsequently having the captain end up taking offense to it because his drafts and lanes were "perfect".

    Clockwerk suicide lane. Played a bit too aggressively and overestimated by battery assault damage at the start. Madesome good choices and spaced out my skills for good efficiency durign the later teamfights. Isolated a lot of heroes, I thinkI should've focused more on picking up the supports like VS rather than isolating kunkka/PL though. I went armor as ithelped me a lot and they had a lot of damage, which did mean that it was the right decision since shiva's helped a lotversus their PL illusions.

    ES Support. Got paired up finally with somebody from NADota except it was Demise who kept yelling out that he was 5.4kMMR and that he wouldn't support for scrubs. Kept asking for a core hero and when he didn't get it, he ran around farmingthe lanes. He was obviously better than the carries, but I was outfarming our cores too despite having support. In anycase, was not very fun to play with because he kept calling everybody else trashcans and ended up getting muted byeverybody despite his points that the lanes did need to be swapped. The opponents played alright considering their team,but we were just outpicked.
