    6. Resume/ Curr iculum Vitae (CV)

    6.1 Guidelines

    A Resume/Curricu lum Vitae (CV) provides an overview of a person's experience and other qualifications.

    Jacobs Resume/CV template helps you develop Resume/CV documents in a consistent, structured and easy to

    read format. The template can help ensure that key information regarding a persons background is captured

    consistently.

    A CV should be developed and maintained for Jacobs staff who are likely to work on projects and be used in

    proposals. The Resume/CV template, available from the Jacobs Word menu, provides an easy to follow guide

    to create Resumes/CVs, including technical qualifications and detailed project experience. The template

    provides an option to insert a profile image, and care should be taken that this complies with Jacobs staff

    portrait photography guidelines.

    6.3 Resume/CV technical how tos

    1. Select a Curriculum Vitaetemplate from the Jacobs Document Picker

    2. Replace the highlighted fields and instructions areas with the required text.

    3. Populate the document as required using standard Microsoft Word functions or using the options on the

    Jacobs tab.

    Note: refer to the Jacobs Ribbon Quick reference Guide for information on each function

    4. Replace the picture by right mouse clicking on the picture and selecting Change Picture, then choose the

    required picture and click Insert.

    If the picture requires resizing the fill the image area then select the picture and resize using the image

    handles.

    5. To remove the picture from the Resume/CV, select the table cell that contains the photograph place holder

    Do this by right mouse clicking just to the left of the table cell

    Right click and select Delete Rows

    This will remove the photograph section of the side bar area. You now need to extend the side bar

    area to the bottom of the page. Select the bottom of the side bar table and drag it down so it extends

    to just above the footer

    6. Insert additional project entries under recent project experience using the text Blockoption on the Content

    section of the Jacobstab.

    7. To change the header of the document from Curriculum Vitae to Resume, go to Properties >Edit Document

    Propertieson the Jacobstab. In the Heading, type in Resume, then click OK.
