Joint Director’s MessageDear Recruiters,

Greetings!

I take great pleasure in presenting the students of PGDMA 2015-17 and 2016-18 for possible placements and internships in your organization.

As the balance of economic growth shifts from developed to emerging economies, the sector of agribusiness offers a new trajectory for enhancing livelihood security. For a major emerging economy, like India, higher inclusive growth leads to more equitable opportunities and benefits of all members of its society. Over the last five years, agribusiness is fastest emerging as a critical driver to achieve the much needed inclusive growth. However increasing population rate, global interdependencies, and diversity of markets, wider choices for consumer choices, new technologies and intellectual property regimes along with impacts of climate change and sustainability of resource base of agriculture are some of the challenges contributing to the complex nature of this sector. More often, these complexities bring uncertainties in this sector and enhance risks.

The two year Post Graduate Diploma in Agriculture (PGDMA)at this Academy is designed to contribute a new generation of young agri-business managers with a holistic perspective of agriculture and agribusiness, and with capacities to find tangible solutions to challenges faced by the stakeholders of this sector. The students are exposed to the nuances of management, business and core agricultural practices. Our students are also trained to be sensitive and responsive to the needs of farmers, consumers and the society as a whole, along with ensuring of agri -enterprise viability and vitality. Their diverse skill set and knowledge base, and a keen learning attitude, enable them to be positive individuals, who can adapt to multiple roles address new risks and challenges and contribute to the growth of the business.

In short time, since the inception of PGDMA in 2009, the Academy has progressed steadily with the support of its dedicated faculty and rich pool of committed managers from the industry. With 100% placements for the first six batches, and student internships with leading and diverse agribusiness organizations, NAARM can be counted among the top few destinations in the country for recruiting young, responsible, committed future leaders and managers of agribusiness. The Academy looks forward to your visit to our campus.

We look forward to welcoming you on our campus and invite you to be part of an exciting interaction with our students.

With best wishes,

With aids from the government and also a string of financers cropping up in the rural markets, farmers can now buy machinery that helps them yield better and in abundance. Pumps, tractions, harvesters and a lot more are being extensively used to ease out the otherwise sweating tasks of farming.

Placement Review 2016

The Pride of ProfessionalsToday the farmer groups across India seek retail reforms, because with the current retail system the farmer is being exploited. To bring about a change corporate giants have taken up the initiative of doing the best. Supermarkets today are organised forms of retail that bring the produce to the final consumer through a direct channel that avoids exploitation of farmers by middlemen. Agricultural consultancy, agro tourism and up-to-the-minute inputs of pesticides and seed have also helped the producers receive a boost in the sector.

With the completion of the course at NAARM our students are all prepared to be hired by the goliaths of the industry. We give them the best dose of wisdom and tact to easily handle situations at the work scenario. The selectors too are fond of our produce as they know that students coming out of our campus meet the standards and the expectations of this evolving sector of the nation.
