Create a family tree representing your family history. How far back can you go? Give as muchdetail as possible including names, date of birth/death, country of birth.

TODAY: Speak to your family members and find out as much information as you can aboutyour relatives.

Draw a picture of yourself on one page, and a character from your book on the next page.

Brainstorm all the similarities and differences between you and the character (Delve deep, don’t go

for surface level observations)

WritingRead the persuasive text about why cooking is a fun family activity (below).

Using your highlighters to see if you can find the following:

● Appeal to emotion

● Similes and Metaphors

● An introduction

● A conclusion

● Three body paragraphs

● One line that really convinced you this was a good idea
