A fourth child was born in the poor family living in Basra, a city of Iraq. When the mother came to know that

she is a daughter instead of being a son, she unintentionally said: Rabia which means fourth daughter.

Parents gave this daughter, a name of Rabia . After some time, father of this girl saw Holy Prophet (PBUH) in

his dream. Holy Prophet said: Dont get afraid, your daughter will be a blessing. After few years, father of

these girls died, followed by their mother and these girls were left alone. Their father was a fisher man, hence

Rabia started bread winning through fishing. Rabia had a firm faith on the day of judgement. Before death

Rabias father asked her: Rabia what if you would have none but a Haram (forbidden) thing . She replied

anxiously: father hunger can be tolerated, but no one can tolerate hells fire. One night Rabia saw noor

(light) everywhere and she was swimming in this light. Meanwhile, a voice was heard, which advised Rabia to

make a firm relationship with Holy Quran. After this Rabias life got changed and she used to pray and read

    Holy Quran day and night.

She stayed in different areas sometimes due to incidents and at other times for getting education. At last she

breathed her last in Palestine. She was lucky enough to get a grave in Koh-Toor. She belonged to the family of

Banu Adwah and she is known in arab as Rabi-ul-Adwiah and we know her with the name ofRabia Basri.

People also get inspired from Rabia Basri even nowadays. And millions of muslim girls name are attributedwith her name, although the meaning of Rabia is fourth one.

There is also a mosque in the Cairo with her name. There is a roundabout just adjacent to Masjid-ul-Adwiah,

which is encircled with very wide roads. You must have remembered that two years ago Tahrir Square was

the center of movement against Hosni Mubaraks thirty years andjointly his forty six years military

dictatorship rule. Approximately two months ago on 30th

june, 2013 Tahir Square was also a center of

movement against President Morsis supported by Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Defence respectively.

President Morsis supporters also organized rallies in support of him and chose Rabia ground to avoid any

confrontation. At that time, no one knew that this movement will turn historic and Rabia ground will itself

turn into an important historical aspect. General Sessi ousted elected government in just one year, so thegovernments supporters organized protest movements not only in Rabia ground but also in the length and

breadth of the country till the restoration of government and the constitution. Protests were everywhere in

the country against the military regime but Rabia ground had a distinguishing feature.

Without any doubt, hundreds of thousands of children, women and old men sat for the forty six days here in

Rabia ground from 24 June to 14th

August. They continued their sit inns even during Ramazan and till Eid-ul-

Fitar. During this, General Sessi ordered his forces to fire at protesters while they were praying namaz-e-zuhar.

Four hundred men including seven women were killed. Hundreds of people got injured by cartrigdes but no

one fled and was not ready to leave Rabia ground. During this, international negotiators came. Foreign

Ministers from America, European Union and Middle East came Cario. Unfortunately all these people agreed

on one point, that was to end protests. Whether it was publics demand pertaining to restoration of

constitution, elected parliament or elected president, nothing was American or Civilized Worlds issue.

Egyptians sacrificed one thousand lives while protesting against the regime of Hosni Mubarak and four

hundred men against the rule of General Sessi in the initial days of movement. Protesters were not befouled

by these so called negotiations. Without any doubt, hundreds and thousands of Holy Qurans were recited,

tarawihs and tahajuds were offered. Tafseers, iftars, sehris, educational classes for children and many other

blessed activities remained continued there. All of these remained continued in a peaceful and a popular

democratic manner. Even Rabia ground had a feather of Egypts biggest congregation at eid-ul-fitar in its cap.

Women prepared special eid dishes, amusement programes along with football matches were organized

    there.

While during all this, governments media machinery started creating a perception for using any kind of force

to end these congregations. People who were sitting there for forty eight days including children, elderly andwomen were branded as terrorists, possessing heavy weapons. Even though, protesters were shamefully

charged with the charge of extracting Uranium. And AKHWAN wants to destroy the whole country, due to

snatching of power from them. Ulemas were used to brain wash soldiers in army barracks and police camps.

With the aid of effective propaganda, protesters were declared liable to be killed.

    And, on 14th

of august after namaz-e-zuhar, these hundreds of thousands of protesters were attacked with

tanks, bildozers, gun ship helicopters and with snipper riffles installed on all the four sides of tall buildings. An

operation clean up was started to inflict death on millions of people. A camp housing women was torched.

Asma Baltaji, a single daughter of AKHWANs leader Albalaji along with many other were killed by firing bullets

in their heads and bodies at point blank and a worst bloody chapter was written in Eqyptian history. Massacre

continued throughout the day, thousands were injured and captured. It was Wednesday and Egptian public

instead of confining themselves to their homes due to fear, were on the streets the following next day. Seesis

government again fired and hundreds were martyred. People protested on Friday, by giving it a name of

Youm-ul-Ghazab. Military regime again fired, dozens were injured, killed and arrested. The same day, even

Cairos Fateh mosque, which has highest minaret was fired.

From this day, country is continuously witnessing protests and massacres. According to records and AKHWANS

statement five thousand innocent citizens have been killed. General Sessi and his government thinks that they

have weakened those who want restoration of elected government and suppressed peoples movement. But

people have believe that atlast they will win over Pharohs regime. Egyptain and international media is nearly

neglecting AKHWANs protests. However, people are continuously rendering sacrifices. Despite of the

continued Pharoish designs of General Sessi, protests are continuing, without a gap of a single day. Out of all

these protests, protests pertaining to 30th

august 2013 are worth mentioning. On this millions of people came

on the streets in every nook and corner of the country. Military threatened people, fired on protesters, killed

more innocent people but protests continued. Those who organized these protests-Eqypts National united

front, has announced for launching civil disobedience movement, in addition to these protests. Two popular

slogans of these protests are: End, end, military regime should come to end and Seesi, get lost, my

president is Mursi. The symbol of this movement against Sessi were four fingers. Lot of readers know that,

in Arabic four is called as ARBAH. It also infers fourth one- RABIA. You have already read why was Rabia

Basrah famous for. By raising your four fingers, forty eight days long protest and the catastrophe which was

inflicted on protesters was remembered. Along with this, this line has been written KULNA-e-RABIA (we all are

Rabia ground). It has been ensured that everyone is part of this journey and the hearts are attached to this

movement. This journey will continue and we will not let waste sacrifices of Rabia ground. Thats why this

symbol is also called AILANAT-e-Samood (Get sticked). Interesting thing is that, this is now an internationally

renowed symbol. According to the news from Turkey, roads, parks and empty plots have been renamed as

RABIA. In the last two months only, parents of around 243 girls choose their name as RABIA. On the friday

    night of august 30th

RABIA was written with laser lights installed on the ships parked in the sea near Eqypts

consulate. Dresses with four fingers printed on them are getting popular in youngsters. While observing a

market trend, chinese companies have also started printing this symbol of four fingers on mobile cassings,

purses, bags and other articles of daily use. Blood tainted government of General Sessi wanted to get rid of

one Rabia ground but the entire Egyptian nation and worlds justice loving people are proving a bulwark

    against it.
