Current QC7 setup
Stand 1 (Brendan) Stand 2 (Johny)
- External power supply (8 V @ 6 A)- Cooling line & external Fan- Access to QC7 machine- backend : GLIB- Full QC7 with GLIB : ~ 2,5 - 3 hours
In a typical test, QC7 is performed ~ 2 - 4 times = 5 - 12 hours
- External power supply (8 V @ 6 A)- Cooling line & external Fan- Access to QC7 machine- backend : CTP7- Full QC7 with CTP7 : ~ 1 - 1,5 hours
In a typical test, QC7 is performed ~ 2 - 4 times = 2 - 6 hours

GBT phase scans fails for one or more VFATs
Most of the times this issue is solved unplugging and replugging very carefully the OH in the samtec connectors
June 12th 2020, CERN 8/14Johny Jaramillo - QC7 report
Typical issues : Connectors
Bad SAMTEC connector
Solution : Replace the GEB
Bad connection VFAT - readout board
Causes : ● Mechanical stress by cooling plate● Dirty 130 pin connector
Solution: Dismount cooling carefully and replugging the VFAT
June 12th 2020, CERN 9/14Johny Jaramillo - QC7 report
Typical issues : Broken sbits
OH SAMTEC GEB routing
100 pin Panasonic

Typical issues : High current consumption
Current consumption QC7 monitoring system
This app was developed to detect (with good temporal resolution ~ 100 mS) how some QC7 issues are related wit power consumption

QC7 Status
Negative end-cap:
➢ all chambers have been tested and installed in the CMS (72/72 # chambers)
Positive end-cap:
➢ All short chambers (36/36) were validated in QC7○ Including one problematic SC pending since March○ One high current consumption chamber returning from QC8
➢ After Lab activities were restarted○ 4 short chambers were tested and validated in QC7○ 10 long chambers were tested and validated in QC7○ 2 long chambers are under test now
➢ In total 81% ( 58/72) of the GE1/1 chambers passed successfully QC7
