Timeline for Sponsorship of “Out of Darkness” Prelude2Cinema is currently completing Season One (13 episodes). The first episode aired nationally on Dish network. The second and third episode aired in the Cleveland market so it would be eligible for Emmy submission. It was a requirement of the Cleveland Emmy chapter that the episodes only air first in the local market to be eligible. To be integrated into the series, Prelude2Cinema can include scenes of Your Business starting in Episode Five. It is intended that new episodes will air in the Cleveland market starting again in March 2007. Emmy Submission “Out of Darkness”

Alex P. Michaels is a current member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Episode #2 and Episode #3 of “Out of Darkness” have been submitted for the 2007 Emmy Awards. Alex P. Michaels is the Executive Producer of “Out of Darkness.”

Mr. Michaels won an Emmy for the TV Movie “What Angels Fear.” Characters from the TV Movie appear in “Out of Darkness.” Mr. Michaels TV Movie had its first national airing on PAX January 23rd, 2005

TV Series featured on WOIO News While the world was greeted with a new pope, Cleveland was presented with a historic first. During the Six o' clock news, WOIO reporter Tiffany Burns did a story on Cleveland’s first TV Series. “Out of Darkness” is a sexy, gritty cop/ sci-fi drama created by Emmy winning writer Alex P. Michaels. The TV Series will be the first to ever be shot in Cleveland, Ohio. Why is the TV Series shooting in Cleveland, Ohio?

Why shoot “Out of Darkness” in Cleveland, Ohio?

It has to do with Eliot Ness.

Although "Out of Darkness" takes place in the present, a recurring storyline will be woven into the series that features the infamous Torso Murders (a.k.a. "The Kingsbury Run Murders.").

From 1934 to 1938, the “Torso Killer” left the corpses of a least twelve victims in and around the Kingsbury Run area of Cleveland. A frightened city turned to its safety director, the legendary Eliot Ness, who focused more energy and manpower on this investigation that any previous police action in Cleveland. But the killer was never arrested, or even officially identified.

Another reason for shooting in Cleveland is to strengthen the economy by adding jobs. Prelude2Cinema wishes to bring the motion picture and TV industry to Cleveland by providing a creative outlet for actors and technicians. Like “Law & Order” is tied to New York City, Prelude2Cinema will tie “Out of Darkness” to Cleveland, Ohio.

Examples of Branded Entertainment in TV While like Product Placement, Branded Entertainment involves having products and businesses appear in television shows, branded entertainment takes it a step further. The Business lends financial support to the series and its business is woven into a storyline.
