ON JOB TRAINING PROPOSAL1. INTRODUCTIONThe implementation of today's higher education students have demanded in order to adapt to the development and advancement of existing technologies as well as industry. Thus it is expected that students have the skills and abilities applicable at the real world especially with regard to the discipline practiced.The aim of Bachelor program is to get enough theoretical and applicable abilities for all students. But in fact applicable skills less than expected especially at site application. So there is a gap between theoretical that we got at campus and real site condition (real works).

This Condition is one of a lot of reason for government to formulize policies about integrated education (Link and Match) between college and company. To solve this condition, industrial engineering Brawijaya Malang run and obligate the students to do on job training (OJT) at company which suitable with Students chosen studies so the students get the aplicable knowledge that learned from the real work.

A Company that is able to support and guide students to get site learning is needed. Total E & P Indonesie is one of companies in Indonesia which has quite large management and industrial distribution. Thus, Total E & P Indonesie is the right choice as a site Work and Practice for Industrial Engineering students. After observing and considering the direction of the preparation of OJT to be taken, then we intend to engage OJT at Total E & P Indonesie.2. Objective2.1 General Objective

Field practice activities held at: Total E & P Indonesie has a dual purpose for students, educational institutions (UB) and the institution where students to do practical work.a) Goal for Student1) Knowing how work really is.

2) Get chance to apply knowledge and skill that obtained when study at Brawijaya University.

3) Get chance to obtain new knowledge and skill from cooperation activities with experienced industry experts on field.

4) Get chance to compare work skill with expert. And expected to expand knowledge and skill.

b) Goal for Brawijaya University.

1) Get feedback from the field regarding the contents of the material that has been given in lectures.

2) Obtain input about issues in the field practice.

3) development of research at the university..

c) Goal for Industry: 1) Obtain input that may help in the settlement of the case studies according to the concentration.

2) Establish a cooperative relationship with the educational institution as a research department.3) As a training program to seek employment as expected.

2.2 Specific ObjectiveSpecific objectives for the students of the Industrial Engineering Faculty of Engineering are:

1) Being able to solve a case study that may occur during the operation on the field2) Being able to compare theory and knowledge acquired at the University of Brawijaya with reality on the ground. And Presenting the data and information obtained during field practice. 3. Benefit an UsesThe expected benefits and uses of the program are:

1) Students can apply knowledge and methodologies that have been obtained from college.2) Test the ability of the application of science and technology that have been obtained.3) Provide information to students real-world circumstances that motivated to prepare themselves.4) Bridging the cooperative relationship between the company and the Faculty of Engineering UB Malang.

4. TimeOn the job training program was conducted in May-June 2013, at which time the implementation of on the job training for a month or in accordance with the policies of the agency.5. 7. On Job Training Program1) On the Job Training Program of Industrial Engineering Faculty of Engineering, University of Malang UB can be done every year after students collect minimum 84 (eighty-four) credits with a GPA above 2.00.2) In the implementation of the OJT is divided into several activities, these are:

a. Directing the implementation of OJT by supervisor.

b. Implementation of OJT activities in the field (the company).c. Making of reports and their OJT guidance report.

d. Submission of Reports OJT in the field.

3) In the process of implementation of OJT on the field then the company has full authority to process student education especially applicative knowledge in the enterprise.4) After the implementation of OJT on the field completed, OJT students are required to make a report being mentored by lecturer appointed by the Department of Industrial Engineering Program Engineering Faculty of Engineering UB Malang and field supervisor appointed by Total E & P Indonesie.

5) Assessment OJT consists of two elements, the field of corporate evaluation and appraisal reports by OJT supervisor8. On the Job Training Methods

In the implementation of Field Work Practices used two methods of data collection. The method used in practice is as follows:1) Library ResearchIt is a method used to obtain the data with the study of literature in the library and by reading data sources other information related to the discussion. So with the research literature was obtained in theory regarding the issues discussed.2) Field ResearchThis method is used in data collection, in which investigators directly plunge on the research project, while the other means used in Field Research are:

a) Interview, which is a method used to obtain the data by asking the question directly when the company entered into an activity.

b) Observation, which is a method of obtaining data, by conducting direct observation of the real situation in the company.9. Required DataRequired data in OJT are :

1) The data relate to the field of Industrial Management concentration and their applicability in the enterprise.

2) The data relating to the mechanism of the production process is going on and work measurement procedures.3) The data relating to Suply Chain management of enterprise

10.GuidanceImplementation guidance OJT program will be implemented by:

1) Supervising the field of local companies are expected to:

a. Directs and oversees the implementation of student work.

b. Signing a students workbook.

c. Conducting assessments of students in :

1) Labor discipline, cooperation and creativity of students.

2) Mastery or skill, control equipment, precision and safety.d. Establish communication in presenting the results of the supervisory practices in the field.

2) Lecturer supervisor appointed by the Faculty of Industrial Engineering Program UB Engineering in charge of guiding students from an early departure to the final assessment OJT activities. Assigned supervisor must be :

a. Preparation or briefing before departure of students.b. To lead and be responsible for all activities carried out by students.c. Supervises the implementation of OJT and establish communication with the field supervisor. At the time of supervision, the supervisor assigned to:

1)Confirm the results of the field assessments by tutors.2) Assessing student work, in terms of:

a) Objectivity spreadsheet of student work.

b) Attitudec) Credibilityd) Discipline

d. Reported the results of supervision in the institution of the OJT Program Industrial Engineering Faculty of Engineering Department of Engineering UB3) Proposed OJT material activities:a. Implementation system of occupational health and safety management in the Companyb. Implementation system of Supply Chain Management in the Companyc. Implementation system of human resource management and development.11. Concentration Competence

Competence of Industrial System Management Concentration are:

1. Managerial capability, business ethics, soft skills and good team work;

2. Competence in the field of industrial management is necessary for the planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling in industry, business, government, and service;

3. Produce graduates who are able to keep abreast of scientific and management expertise in industrial systems.

12. ClosingTo support the implementation of the OJT Program Industrial Engineering Faculty of Engineering UB is hoped that relevant parties in the Industrial Engineering Program UB's Faculty of Engineering and the institutions that housed the practice of students in particular, can be helpful in giving permission to the implementation of the OJT
