Job Description

This is a combined Product Manager as well as Product Owner role as per the Scrum agile development methodology. As a Product Manager you will work alongside our customers and agile development teams in the Ad Tech Practice. This particular position is part of an agile software development team in our Ad Tech practice engaged by a leading digital media company in New York City. This role requires a deep knowledge of the digital revolution, mobile and desktop advertising technology and some product engineering skills. As a Product Manager, here is an indicative list of the areas of responsibility -

Strategic

❏ Develop and evolve the product and technology vision as defined collaboratively with customer’s senior leadership.

❏ Observe, learn about and analyzing the market, customers and end users of the product.

❏ Responsible for making sure our customers continue to have the best technology offering in a dynamically-evolving and rapidly changing mobile advertising landscape.

❏ Continuously connect product, business and technology to ensure that the vision articulated publicly is executed and the technology roadmap aligns with that vision.

❏ Build strong relationships inter-company, with strategic partners and with customers to drive growth for our customers in the Ad Tech vertical.

❏ Speak with authority about the market, listen to customer needs, quickly understand their issues and give good advice.

❏ Keeping in touch and provide regular reports to every stakeholder of the product.

Agile Development

❏ As the Product Owner in the agile development process, represent the customer and set the vision, goals and priorities of the team. Work collaboratively with a global agile team to determine the details during each sprint, accepting work as it is completed.

❏ Develop and maintain the product and sprint backlogs. Must have a laser focus on executing the product roadmap.

❏ Define user stories by working closely with the users. Split user stories if they are estimated by the development team to be too long to implement.

❏ Help the team understand the stories along with key concepts in the Ad Tech domain.

❏ Participate in Scrum meetings: ❏ Provide sprint goal and new user stories for sprint planning. ❏ Give feedback regarding the achievement of the sprint goal in the sprint

review. ❏ Reflect and take action as a team member in the sprint retrospective. ❏ Inform, help and learn in the daily scrum.

❏ Develop acceptance criteria for user stories. Order the product backlog by prioritizing stories and defining regular releases.

❏ Ensure all product releases meet functionality, performance and quality standards. In short, ensure the right product gets built.

Mobile Ad Tech Experience

❏ Understanding of relevant ad serving technologies like DFP, OpenX. ❏ Understanding of the mobile ad tech ecosystem with key platform players on demand

side and supply side.

Qualifications ❏ 6-8 years of progressively responsible experience in an organization of repute. ❏ 3-4 years of experience as a Product Manager / Owner in an agile team. ❏ Domain expertise in the Ad Tech industry ❏ Engineering degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent work experience ❏ Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills to evaluate alternatives

and provide recommendations on business issues. ❏ Ability to coordinate with teams in different global timezones
