To describe how to make or to do/operate

something in sequences or steps.

Characteristics of Procedure Text

Uses Imperative sentences ( Command or Prohibitation ). Put, add, stir, mix, don’t pour.

Uses Temporal conjunctions ( first, second, third, next, then, after that, finally )

Uses Adverbial to show exactly times ( for five minutes, two hours, ten minutes …).

Uses Simple Present tense.

GENERIC STRUCTURE

1. Aim/ Goal Berisi informasi mengenai tujuan

dalam pembuatan atau pengoperasian sesuatu.

2. Materials/Ingrediants/Tool

Terdiri dari bahan-bahan/alat-alat yang digunakan dalam membuat/mengoperasikan sesuatu.

3. Steps Langkah-langkah atau urutan-

urutan yang harus dilakukan agar tujuan yang diuraikan pada bagian Aim/ Goal bisa tercapai. Langkah-langkah atau urutan-urutan tersebut haruslah urut dari yang pertama hingga terakhir.Umumnya menggunakan temporal conjunctions ( first, second, third…)

HOW TO MAKE A CUP OF TEA

Goal : How to make a cup of tea Materials : tea, a spoonful of sugar,

water. Tools : a cup, a spoon, a pan, a stove Steps : First, boil some water Next, put some tea and a spoonful of

sugar in a cupAfter that, pour the boiled water into the cup and stir wellFinally, a cup of sweet tea is ready to drink.

Planting Chilies Aim/ Goal : how to plant a chili-plant easily. Materials : Chili seeds, fertilizer, … Tools : Big pot, knife, a hoe Steps : Firstly, dry a handful seeding under

the sunlight. Secondly, put the seeding on the soil. It should

be in open area Next, wait it. There will come out the sprout after

that let it be bigger. Finally, put it in another big pot. It will soon grow

bigger and bigger and yield us some fresh chilies soon.

How to Make a Cheese Omelet 

Aim/ Goal How to Make a Cheese Omelet  Materials : Ingredients 1 egg, 50 g cheese, ¼ cup milk, 3

tablespoons cooking, oil, a pinch of salt and pepper.

Tools : Frying pan, fork, spatula, cheese

grater, bowl, plate.

Steps

1. Crack an egg into a bowl2. Whisk the egg with a fork until it is smooth.3. Add milk and whisk well4. Grate the cheese into the bowl and stir5. Heat the oil in a frying pan

6. Pour the mixture into the frying pan

7. Turn the omelet with a spatula when it browns

8. Cook both sides9. Place on a plate; season

with salt and pepper10. Eat while warm.

HOW TO TURN OFF COMPUTER SAFELY

Goal : How to turn off computer safely Tools : Computer set.

Steps : First, click the start button at the

bottom left corner of the screen. There will be two choices “ log off” and “ turn off the computer”.

Then, select and click “ turn off the computer” After that you will

have four choices of buttons appear “ stand by, turn off, restart

and cancel. After that, choose and click “

turn off” wait for minutes for the shutting down process.Finally, don’t forget to unplug the power cord.

text at least consist of ten slides. Do it for a week with your group. Present it in front of your friends. Collect your Task in my flaskdisc .
