Most Common Isotope Have you noticed that some elements on the
periodic table have decimal points? This is because the Atomic Mass Number is the
weighted AVERAGE of all the known isotopes. In order to know the MOST COMMON
ISOTOPE… round the Atomic Mass Number to the nearest whole number.
Write the MOST COMMON ISOTOPE by giving the element symbol +rounded number.element symbol +rounded number.
