The Athletic Triangle
It is critical that the “athletic triangle”,composed of Coach, parent and athlete, functions in at atmosphere of opencommunication. It is easily critical thatthe child’s welfare is put above all else. This includes adult inadequacies incommunication, problems at home thatare carried onto the playing field, parental egos, coaching incompetenceand inferior skill level on the part of theathlete.
