PowerMILL Modelling for manufacture gives you the tools to prepare and repair your customers’ data. Problems can be fixed as soon as they are identified, eliminating delays due to sending data back and forth to the CAD office. This means that all potential manufacturing issues can be resolved before you even think about cutting metal. With PowerMILL Modelling, modelling for manufacture operations can be completed quickly and efficiently without the need for a separate CAD system. PowerMILL Modelling has targeted tools designed by machining experts to ease the route to manufacture: dedicated data fixing and repair functionality without the need for an extra CAD system. PowerMILL Modelling is an add-on module to further increase the functionality, effectiveness and efficiency of PowerMILL, yet easy to use and learn. PowerMILL Modelling is part of PowerMILL but can also be run stand-alone in the CAD office. Identify surfaces with gaps, overlaps or holes, find thin walls and locate regions with undercuts. Sketch geometry, create and edit surfaces, repair common modelling mistakes, and much more, all from within PowerMILL. View the model as a colour-coded ‘map’ highlighting small radii that are difficult to machine in either cavity or core, or where electrodes may be required. Repair gaps and holes by either interactively modifying trim boundaries, or adding new surfaces Remove duplicated geometry for greater efficiency Modify Data The powerful modelling tools allow you to quickly make modelling for manufacture changes to the part.
