It will look atfirst impressions, verbal and non-verbal communication. The importance of respect and maintaining confidentialitywill also be addressed. Deaf Awareness and Communication Level 1 (Signature) FE77

Tues 1630-1830 10 weeks 15.01.13 £60 Free/£5 6th FormThe course covers types of deafness and preferred communication methods; society’s attitude todeafness; and organisations working with deaf people. It also includes basic skills for communicatingwith deaf people. The tutor is deaf.

Environment and Conservation – Get Into Level 1 (NCFE) FE78/FE79

This is an intensive course leading to an initial qualification. It also includes at least one field trip.

This accredited course allows you to gain a deeper understanding of mentoring and to develop the skillsand understanding required in order to become an effective mentor.
