About UsOur Adult Education Program offers free classes at flexible times or distance learning classes for students who can’t always make it to class. Licensed teachers are available in every county to help adult students achieve success. This program offers individual attention to each student, giving them the best chance possible to succeed.

test or ASVAB. Enter a postsecondary education

Flexible Study Schedules
1. Class time-Individualized study with a licensed teacher
2. Distance Learning- Self-study on your home computer when it is convenient for you.
Program Options:
Adult Education is available to those students who require the Arkansas High School Diploma.Basic Skills Enhancement provides a review of academic areas for the high school graduate in need of upgrading skills to enter higher education, the military, or the workforce.English as a Second Language (ESL) allows adults to learn to speak, read, and write English as their second language.
Adult Education in Arkansas is based on the following philosophy: All adults can learn. All adults have the right to education that enhances their ability to effect positive changes in their lives. All adults have the right to obtain the life skills that they need to become self- sufficient, actively participating members of society. All adults have the right to complete their education through the high school level.
G.E.D. Benefits:
According to Arkansas Association of Continuing & Adult Education (AACAE), “...a high school graduate earns an average of $8,860 more per year than a non-high school graduate. The GED is a step that places the employee in this higher earnings category.” –ace.arkansas.gov
GED EXAM:
Four test subjects:
Reasoning through Language Arts (RLA)
Mathematical Reasoning Science Social Studies
Students don’t have to take all four tests at once.
Delivered on the computer.
Available in both English and Spanish
Cost is $4 per test or $16 total.
