On Saturday April 1 st , MANRRS will hold a high school symposium from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Wyndham Hotel downtown. Middle and high school students are encouraged to register and learn more about MANRRS and/or the High School Symposium, at www.manrrs.org. Investing NOW Investing NOW is a college preparatory program created to stimulate, support, and recognize the high academic performance of pre-college students from groups that are underrepresented in science, technology, engineering and mathematics majors and careers. The yearlong program includes quarterly advising and tutoring sessions, monthly hands-on science and engineering workshops, college planning sessions, career awareness activities and a summer enrichment program. The program is looking for students of color interested in STEM. That meet the following criteria: academic GPA of 2.75 or better; math/science GPA of 3.0 or better; interest in a STEM major/career and/or a high proficiency in math and science. National Science Foundation Funded Summer Program The National Science Foundation has funded a summer internship program for high school students in Dr. Hanna Salman’s laboratory.
