Photo of the Year Contest is back!
For those new students who haven’t heard of it, the contest is put on by the college on a
weekly basis and allows students to showcase their photography skills. Interesting photos of
anything (within reason) are accepted, so submit your photo! To submit your own photo to
be judged for next week’s contest, send the file (in its original format; please do not resize it
to make it smaller) to us at : [email protected] Be sure to include
your name, major, and a short description of where you took your photograph and what it is
of. Be sure to have your photo submitted by the Friday before the week you would like it to
compete in. Winners of the weekly photo contest will have their photo shown at the Student
Awards Ceremony in the Spring and will be eligible to win the Photo of the Year contest.
Good luck!

Hello, my name is Katie Nichols. I am a 5th year senior is Forest
Engineering. Growing up in the semi-rural town of Canby, Oregon, on a
small sheep farm, I have always loved being outdoors. It was that love of
the outdoors that lead me to choose forestry as a major. For fun I enjoy
long walks on the beach and eating chocolate peanut butter ice cream
while watching Netflix. I also delight in spending time with my family and
friends. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, because there is a lot of
yummy food and I get to spend it with my family.
Thank Our Veterans! Join in honoring all our students, faculty, and
staff who have served in the military.
