SUMMIT HIGHLIGHTS

This year, we plan to take this initiative to the next level by expanding the scope and reach of the event and providing a platform for the entire textile value chain to deliberate and develop a vision for Textile Industry for the year 2035.

The summit shall be a five day event coinciding with and forming part of the activities scheduled during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit to be held from 18-22nd January 2019 at Helipad Ground, Gandhinagar. The event shall encompass Trade Exhibition, B2B Meetings, Seminars, Fashion Show for dignitaries.

FARM TO FASHION - 2019

• The Fashion show 2018 was a huge success in terms of all key parameters.

• Farm to Fashion started a trend wherein not high-end designers but the local manufacturers presented their creations on the ramp. They were guided by experts in every aspect. This gave a boost to their confidence and their business and their whole approach and vision changed.

• The Fashion Show is an intricate part of the textile value chain. This edition will continue the trend and also present the heritage of textiles on the ramp.

• The show captured the rich history and innovative products of the textile industry by presenting garments that were breathtaking to behold.

THE FASHION SHOW - 2018

• Sunil Sethi is the President of the Fashion Design Council of India and an eminent personality in the Indian Fashion, Handloom and Handicraft Industry.

• He has spent over 30 years in promoting these sectors in the international and domestic markets.• The Ministry of Textiles recently conferred a Special Recognition Award on him for his pursuit of the ‘Make

in India’ ideology and for working relentlessly for Indian craft and handloom.

THE FASHION SHOW - 2019

• Living up to its name, this time The Fashion Show will be on the “Make In India” Theme and will be organized in association with iNDEXTb , Tourism corporation of Gujarat and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

• The Fashion Show shall showcase exclusive ranges of clothing lines with an iconic fashion show by few of country’s distinguished fashion designers, aspirational stylist and leading fabric companies of the world.

• New style and signature statement will definitely be one of the takeaways from this bonanza of excellent collections, drone by super models and show stoppers. The show shall capture the rich history and innovative products of the textile industry by presenting garments that would surely be breathtaking to behold.

• The show will feature the work of India’s leading fashion designers. It will be organized by Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and curated by Sunil Sethi . The country’s top models will be displaying the outfits.
