Caution: For security reasons, it is not advisable to installthe course schema into a production database. You mayneed the assistance of your DBA to access an account withthe privilege to create a user.

1. If you did not already do so in the previous step, unip the

D!"#$"%&11scripts.ip file to a temporary directory, such asC:\te%\courseSetu\ . 'his creates a \scrits subdirectory.

(. From the \scrits subdirectory, invo)e *+-lus and log on as SYSTEM oras another DBA-level user. You may need to ask your DBA to giveyou an account or to run the scripts for you. You must run thescripts from the \scrits subdirectory so that scripts in its subdirectory canbe located. For e/ample, assuming the default directory structure, thecommand to run *+-lus from the 0 database would be2

C:\oraclexe\a\oracle\roduct\10.8.0\server\,*\s9llus

". In the *+-lus window, run the createOE.s9l script from the directory

where you unzipped it. For example:

S(;(US+Start createOE.s9l

3. After control is returned to the createOE.s9l script, the list of thecreated ob4ects is displayed along with any potential invalid ob4ects. 5unningthese scripts should ta)e less than a minute. You may rerun the createOE.s9l

script to drop and re6create the ob4ects.

Note: 'his script creates only a single user named oe.

4hen the Oracle 4e"ogic 9erver Adinistration Console displays, ensure that it is connected toy49Ldoain, then click og Out.

Close the "ro#ser #indo#.
