Trip ResetThe speedometer contains an odometer to maintain a record ofthe total mileage and trip mileage. During normal operations andafter a power on the odometer display shows;

This display cannot be reset. A quick press of the push-buttonchanges the display to the Trip odometer.

The Trip odometer allows you to keep a record of the trip miles orkilometers independent of the Odometer.

The Trip Odometer is fully user reset-able. While in the TripOdometer display press the push-button for 4 seconds and the Tripodometer is reset to zero.

cannotThe most common cause of an inoperable gauge is

“Ground”. We stress enough the importance ofgrounds. The battery ground must be connected betweenthe battery and the engine, regardless of where thebattery is located in the engine compartment. Thechassis a suitable ground. There must be a goodground between the engine and body and engine andchassis. The fuel tank sender must also be grounded tothe chassis or body. Do not rely on straps or brackets toground tank.

This can create a bad ground betweenthe engine and the sender which will cause the gauge toread improperly or not work at all. Use a small amount ofTEFLON paste as a sealing agent.

Take special care when measuring and cutting fuelsender as described in instructions. The more accurateyou are the more precise the fuel gauge will read.

Speedo needle may not move until speedo isprogrammed.

If HELLO is displayed in the odometer screenWhen the key is turned on the push button switch hasbeen damaged and is shorted to ground. Switch mustbe replaced with a normally open switch beforeprogramming can be performed.

The speed at this point is not important.The operator may even stop and wait, aslong as power is not turned off and themeasured mile is followed asstraight as possible, the operator may notturn around and go in the oppositedirection. Also for the maximum accuracy,the operator should not enter any off roadparking as this would deviate from astraight mile measurement.

If after programming speedo needle iserratic, drops quickly when speed dropsbelow 30 mph, does not move until youare going over 10 mph then jumps up,does not move at all or gets stuck incalculating. Follow the followingprocedure to change the sensitivity.
