"Students Fekon of Tajikistan Spent Weekend to Negri Daya”Reported by: Said Muniruddin - IAP Ofce

Three of the seven international

students who are studying at

the Faculty of Economics

Unsyiah spent their weekend to

Lamno, Aceh Jaya. They are

students from Tajikistan and

during the long holiday they did

not return home, while several

o t h e r s t u d e n t s f r o m

Kazakhstan and Kyrgistan

currently still in the country,

spending the holidays with

family.

Facilitated by the International

Accounting Program (IAP), consisting of three students Jovid Abdulbehabov, Zikrullo

Nabiev and Dilshod Nazarov on Sunday morning (8/25/2013) accompanied by Muniruddin

Said, SE, M.Sc, Ak of IAP FE-Unsyiah and Said Safrizal former aide of chairman of the

provincial parliament went to Negri Daya, Lamno.

For them, this is a pretty fun tour. Along the way they look quite enjoy the beauty of the

sea, beach and mountains. Tajikistan, their origin, is a nation of about 8 million people, with

no ocean.

In Geurutee they enjoy a very beautiful view of the several islands underneath, like Seulako.

Here for the rst time that they enjoy the Tubruk coffee, which they call the "Up-Side Down

Coffee".

It is Weird enough for them, seeing coffee which is poured upside down, with a unique way

of drinking anyway. Accompanied by a plate of noodles with typical Geurutee dent beans or

we called it peyek kacang, conversation continues.

The journey continues. After Dhuhur at a gas

station in lamno, this small group headed to the

most important historical sights in Aceh Jaya.

Located on the edge of Kuala Daya the beach is

very beautiful, about 3km from the town Lamno,

where the buried Sulthan Shah Riayat Alaiddin

Salatin,

King who also has the title "Po Teumereuhom" is

the founder of Power Meureuhom in 1480 AD. He

is the King who is very concerned about

development.

Tomb of Sultan Alaiddin along with wife and

family members is located on top of a hill

on the edge of the beach. Moreover, apart

from the tomb of Sultan there are four

other tombs. One of them is the tomb of

Syed Zainal Abidin, the great scholars of

his kingdom. The rest is the tomb of his

family members.

Tomb has been laid out in such a way, and there are 99 stairs to get there. There are

several centers as a resting place for travelers and pilgrims. Seen a lot of people from the

local district and from outside who come here to bring food to be enjoyed with family.

From this hilltop the view of lamno are amazingly beautiful. Endlessly the foreign students

took the picture of the perfect combination of natural scenery of the ocean, beaches,

forests, villages, and mountains. "Very beautiful," said sophomore Dilshod III FE-Unsyiah

IAP.

While enjoying the view from the top of a hall, the one who accompanied them, Muniruddin

Said describes "The early History of Aceh: Roles and its Contributions to Malay

Civilization", including relations with Turkey, because these foreign students stay in Fatih

School in Lamlagang, Turkey donations, and a mentor students there.

On the way home they stopped at the market in Lamno. In the middle the hot weather,

here they are again enjoying a glass of ice mix. According to them, Indonesia is quite

creative in beverage processing. A variety of unique drinks is that they have good taste in

Aceh.

Still remember how during Ramadan

they enjoyed es teller when they are

done fasting. "Mixture of various items

that make up a drink with a very powerful

feeling," said Jovid who can speak

Indonesian uently. "Our country does

not have as many drinks as you type

here. Seems we have to learn it here,

and then come home selling Indonesian

special drink in Tajikistan," he continues

with a laugh from Zikrullo.

Student experience while studying at the National University of

Jeju, South Korea

By. Qurrata Aini (Student Exchange participants to Korea)

When I realized to wrote a short story or

some experience with this report not only in

my memory. I wrote this with tears but

started to smile and remember the things

what I experienced during the student

exchange program at the University of Jeju,

Korea a few months ago. Sounds fun, fun,

and surprises indeed but Subhanallah full of

joy and sorrow more precisely. There is

passion, tears, sweat and all mixed into one

in the everyday as a freshman student

exchange program to Jeju, South Korea.

Arriving in the city of Jeju at the University of Jeju, I am busy preparing for new

occupants for campus dormitories, busy all forms of administration of foreign

undergraduate and bustle of moving up to right in socializing with the environment

followed by adapting to all things related to Korea.

Starting with food culture in the dorms on campus, nd friendship relations extent,

interact with the staff at the University, the rst day of class orientation Korean

international course still dazed and numb with shock until the weather is still in the

distant period of time last winter. It cannot be denied runny nose continues, dry lips, and

my skin keep blooding. But all of it was gone by exploring knowledge and passion for all

things that are in the University in Jeju, South Korea a tourist island (Jeju), and this is

ginseng-producing country. After going through various administrations in various ofces,

we indirectly expressed as Jeju University freshman and foreigners in South Korea for a

year forward to bagging population mark card, insurance card, and the card brands of

international students.

We are stationed in Korea grade level I and 12 sks, and the remaining 6 SKS to study

several subjects, respectively. Adaptation of friendship, learning and teaching system

which is different from the original university, until a misunderstanding also accompany

the new University study trip in the rst month. Some misunderstanding is not the last of

the language barrier in communicating with one another in which the majority of society

Jeju Korean language. It is able to make a commitment to learn the higher learning

especially smooth speaking Korea, supported by the schedule so intense Korean language

classes from 9 am until 3 pm with a lunch break at 12 noon until 1pm. Eventually, with a

little adopted system famous Korean student studying so hard, study holic, and

ambitious, ultimately in the third month of work up to level II Korean language classes with

some other foreign students. There is no shortcut to jump to level two, all students must

pass a row of testing ranging from test grammar, listening, writing, and speaking.

With different professors as well as friends of different classes, we began to level II

Korean language classes with

happy smiles on the level I

results are satisfactory. Level II

also started to frown aware

that the material more difcult.

And start over tighten the

headband and spir it st.

Learning all this come to

f ru i t i on , the end o f the

semester we won the Korean

speech contest held at the

Un i v e rs i t y. T h i r d o f us ,

delegation from the University

of Syiah Kuala won the contest,

thank God for the champions

won their respective titles we

bring you a present. Proud and

thrilled to see the enthusiastic

community, student korea and some other foreign students of Aceh coffee, bounce song

kutidieng, uniqueness Indonesia until well serbi from the Islamic hijab, fasting and praying.

Do not miss this real pride of willpower, hard work, and prayer. Real-time feel the

power of prayer unspoken tip the day before the competition, sometimes it coincides holy

month of Ramadan:

With sincerity we devote everything to Him in faith, because it is so difcult to get

halal food in hostels for Jeju University, Jeju only because the University provides

breakfast and dinner with a menu similar to the other hostel students. Where the menu is

dominated by meat not slaughtered for consumption. So far we survive with only consume

rice, vegetables and if lucky a few weeks once the hostel offers a seafood menu. We cannot

fail to concern could survive or not, with this condition, the future, where a month before

the scheduled hours of the morning breakfast at the start and after Iftar time schedule

dinner at the hostel ended. We are eager to undergo fast this time, but the lead fast our

hope is to keep t with the proposed conditions of adequate food a month ahead.

Won a competition to become the water cooler in the summer period, with the

presumption will receive a number of gifts like what we read in the rules of the race.

Intention of being used to buy all the equipment needed one month forward. One thing that

is frustrating, because it turns out the status of student participants exchange program

that won the competition is just getting a certicate of appreciation and a shopping

voucher shopping voucher which is also shared with the participants of the contest

despite not winning the competition as an expression of thanks for their participation

following competition. In spite of it all, we are grateful and believe that this is the answers

to our prayers before. Shopping voucher is not really used to buy equipment and the need

for the fasting month.

God will not allow us in difculty who do not have a way out, after we discuss the

conditions associated with the month of Ramadan and eating schedule to the head of

International Affairs at the university, we are permitted to supply food from campus

restaurant for the meal and break the fast during Ramadan. Not only that, some Muslim

friends from Pakistan also often offer a box of dates from their country and other halal

food during Ramadan. As is known, it is hard to nd a date in the city famous for its fresh

citrus and orange plantation this.

With them, we only Muslims on campus is undergoing tarawih prayers in

congregation with sports facilities venues that we have made a place of worship after

getting permission from the hostel campus. Similarly, Eid Fitr prayer, with family ties in

the Islamic atmosphere. Love this time felt no less calm than the previous year, even

without a family. Menu special Briani Bangladesh rice and some sweet dishes specially

Pakistan still buzzing deliciousness until now. Tongue getting used to kimchi, kim

(seaweed), miyeokkuk (clear soup typical Korean seaweed) and Phatbab (rice with mixed

nuts) very missed nearly foods specially seasoned Indonesia, particularly in Aceh.

At the end of September, to coincide with the end of his lecture this semester.

Hopefully anxious to yield the nal in Korean language classes and some subjects in our

study already feel. However, they do not last long after we are really pleased with the end

result that almost the average A +, A, and B. Again the matter is not free from hard work

and prayer.

In between formal learning activities on campus, the international affairs agenda

also introduce Korea every month. At one point, one of the students in the campus master

invites us to attend events organized by music discussion penyuka music gatherings in

the city of Jeju. He was old enough to go, but still look pretty t it also introduces us to

some music experts at the event. We are also a lot of discussion about Indonesian music,

which they so often hear that is gamelan music. Up to sing the song live kutidieng and

explain its meaning in the Korean language to the participants that come that time. So

happy to see their curiosity and so laughable if remember back when mixing Aceh and

Korean languages . As their appreciation for our presence to introduce music of Indonesia,

especially Aceh, they send a report on the events that night to publish in one of the

magazines circulating in Jeju.

A lot of things we had never done before but our usual here. Few things are as

praying in the courtyard of the road, corridor, monument / statue, coastal, and super

market. As known, Jeju is one of

the city's no mosque and no

Mushalla scattered everywhere.

Views of prayer are things that

are still foreign to the people

here, it often becomes the

target of the camera shots of

the people who want to know

even just passing through.

A t t h i s u n i v e r s i t y ,

incidentally library is located not

far from the hostel campus. This

makes it not been quiet from

v is itors, even though the

weekend. The library is open 24

hours provided for students who

want to learn or access the

internet. But not for the borrow

11 UNSYIAH International Activity

or return books. Only available for the study and the computer as internet access only.

Equipped with air spaces in the summer and winter time heating. Right side of the

building, there are a variety of cold drinks machines, hot drinks and soft drinks which can

be reached at any time by the student with some fractional coins. Not surprisingly, the

library became a second home or a second hostel for some students at this university.

Campus environment safe and clean, make the students can access the library go back

anytime. Bit much, familiarity to the library until late at night until the even morning also

become a habit by some foreign students arrive or when the test was not able to sleep at

night.

Other habits that we do is a lot of walking, number of motorcycle users in the city is

low compared to other vehicle users gure. People tend to use public transport such as

bus, subway, taxi, or walk away. The last option is most often found in addition to bus

users. The government classies several types of buses that can be accessed from the

community campus bus, city bus in, bus out of town, get a bus traveling around the island

of Jeju. Students who live in campus dorms as we can easily go the whole corner of the

campus on foot. For off-campus access, usually can use bus or taxi. But more a priority if

the bus is not too sharp and cheaper. By walking a few hundred meters, every street

corner will be easy to nd a bus stop that is equipped with route guidance maps, bus

number, departure time, and arrival time.

So some experience and it is a culture shock initially, but then fade into positive

habits that can in adoption. Hope in the next semester there will be a rewarding

experience as well as a more positive person.

valuable experience and unforgettable year in the state Sakura.Kesempatan to

Aset foot in the land of the Rising Sun, I get after passing selection UFSEP program (University of Fukui Student Exchange Program) in 2011 when tuition entering

semester 5 of these are named the Rising Sun correspond with the country name that is Japanese in Japanese called nippon / nihon.Tentu there are so many new things that I got there; environment, campus, friends, culture, food, season, experience, familiarity, and also knowledge.

Dreams come true, can studying abroad.

Alhamdulil lah. I majored in Electrical and

Electronics Engineering under the guidance of

Akihiro Hashimoto sensei (lecturer). Two semesters

studying there with the status of Special Auditing Student

with Credits, I am more focused to take courses related to

the eld of Mathematics at FMIPA Unsyiah and hope there is

a lot of credit that can be transferred. University of Fukui has 3 faculty, namely: Faculty of

Education and Faculty of Engineering who are on campus

and Faculty of Medicine Bunkyo d iMatsuoka campus. The

University of Fukui also has a research institute of Nuclear Engineering, located in Tsuruga

campus. Teaching and learning process in the classroom which is basically the same as our

campus; sensei gives material, assign tasks, invite Gakusei (students) to discuss, to

conduct the test. But so impressed was discipline, hard work and their timeliness. Sensei

in and out of class in a timely manner, as is Gakusei sensei.Ditambah ever waited more

amenities and facilities and infrastructures owned by the college quite complete. Besides studying different subjects study, we the participants are required to

attend lectures UFSEP Japanese. Without any preparation or previous language training,

I joined the Elementary class. Feel like elementary but a learning atmosphere created

compelling enough. Sensei was good and friendly, as is the classmate friends, learn from

each other to adapt. Environment clean and orderly campus, the majority of students on campus on foot,

bike or even ride public transportation like trains and buses, in every campus building are

special rooms for smokers, there is also the campus gymnasium, feel the atmosphere of

the canteen and buy drinks at corner vending previously could only be viewed on a TV or

movie or read the comic, I'm not supposed to be able to experience all its own. I live in a dormitory, in Japanese we call Ryugakusei Kaikan. I stayed with friends from

various other countries such as China, Uganda, Mexico, Korea, USA, and France.

Summer Camping FSEA FSEA an abbreviation of Fukui Education Science Academy, activities teach children

elementary knowledge in the form of science rather practical. Activities led by Kiichiro

Kagawa sensei is already running long. It was in the summer, the team FSEA provide summer camping in the village of Ono,

Fukui for 2 days. I and some other colleagues as mentors for elementary children. Funny if

remembering the children with pronunciation call me sensei. Pretty surprised when he

knew that the material to be taught to elementary classes 4 and 5 is the way to make

simple binoculars and microscopes, as well as view the organs in sh. Creative-

materiyang once I get my new status as a junior high school students. Do not be surprised

if we see Japan as now, the country is promoting education. It was such a fun experience, funny, and skeptical, especially when it is the month of

Ramadan where I should be ready to respond to any questions the children description of

why I do not go to eat together when they were not "steal" an opportunity for prayer.

Fukui Daigaku Festival This festival is an annual event in Fukui daigaku. During this festival many foreign

students who took the opportunity to introduce our country, including Indonesian

students. We are opening a booth selling Indonesian food such as chicken soto (ソ ト ア ヤ

ム), fried rice (ナ シ ゴ レ ン), and know the contents (タ フ イ シ). The festival lasts for three

days is quite tiring, but all payed when looking at a lot of Japanese people love Indonesian

food, so happy it's like when they say oishikatta (delicious). Yokatta desune i Stan us enough spotlight, as well as its cuisine as well as friends from various

countries such as Uganda, France, India, Libya, Brazil come together to help us to be

impressed as international stan. In addition to our students Indonesia, Malaysia and China then also follow the special

booth selling food and the rest is stan Japanese students. Not only sell a variety of hors

d'oeuvre, the festival also has many other appearances as a band, or even dance. Ramadhan Love in Fukui

Summer and Ramadan arrived. Dawn earlier in around 3 am and sunset around 7pm,

fasting duration longer than 2 hours in Aceh. Many obstacles, temptations, and also

questions that asked. Summer is very hot, pastry shop, restaurant, vending corner

available anywhere, as well as descriptions of my questions are not eating, what's fast,

what I'm going to be ne and not get sick or die because they do not eat and drink, I have

yet to wear the scarves in the summer if I do not feel sick. Temptation once I feel pleasure,

pleasure when we can ght more in defense of what we believe. Alhamdulillah, thank you

Rabbi. Grief would also pervades my days. Can not feel sad and dawn breaking with family

and friends. Not to mention Tarawih

prayers and Witr are always done at

home. No evening out with the family to

buy food to break the fast, no sound

person tadarusan from Mushalla or

mosque, but not at night takbiran Nona. A

much different atmosphere in Aceh. But

the atmosphere sought but not meaning

to get. Celebrate Eid ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha

Bangladesh. Certainly Indonesians but

also with a different religion, family and

diversity. Makna so thick I felt there.

PORDA Hokuriku 2012 PORDA abbreviation of the District

Sports Town is one of the annual program

of PPIJ (Indonesian Student Association

of Japan) Hokuriku region. Hokuriku

covers three districts namely Fukui

Prefecture, Ishikawa Prefecture and

Toyama Prefecture. Activities involving

Indonesian students at the University of Fukui, Kanazawa University, and is held in Fukui

UniversitasToyama Taiikukan Daigaku (Fukui University Athletics Department) in the

month of May with the theme SAKURA (Sharing and gatherings late Athletics) and

incidentally I served as head of the committee. Certainly a new experience for me to be

involved in an organization like that, can interact directly with people from the Embassy

(Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia) and Mets (Consulate General of the Republic of

Indonesia). Although modest networking event involving two branches of the race just athletics

badminton and table tennis, but the meaning of those were really great as well as the

format of competing, this event is also an occasion of mutual acquaintances gathered,

sharing and eliminate fatigue from routine on campus.

Traditional Industry Class We parapartisipan UFSEP had the opportunity to attend lectures Traditional Class.

Class very fun because every second week we will visit some traditional industries in the

region around Fukui like Dojo Soba (Soba Noodle Training Centre), Echizen Uchihamono

(EchizenCutley), Echizen Washi

Paper (traditional Japanese paper),

Echizen Bamboo Dollsand Echizen

Pottery Yaki.

National 4 seasons Japan is one country that has

four seasons in a year. Seasons

change every 3 months, spring (haru)

occurred in March, April and May,

summer (Natsu) occurred in June,

July and August, autumn (AKI)

occurs in September, October and November and winter (Fuyu) occur in December,

January and February. There's always a much anticipated each season. In the spring we can witness the

blossoming sakura, which is one of Japanese national icon. Japanese people are amazed

that no one dared pick a central stalk blooming sakura. Not only do the cherry but we also

get to see tulips and many other owers. During this season the temperature feels warm.

Hot Dimusim other common Japanese people go to the beach, in the evening we could see

the Hanabi festival (reworks festival) in each district. This unique, reworks festival is

held near the waters such as the beach or the river. In the summer temperature is very

hot felt hot, which makes the body feel sticky because of the continued stream of sweat.

In the fall we could see a very beautiful view of the magic that is unique and leaves of yellow

and red falling, like leaves Momiji (maple) and ginko.Udara felt during the season it is cold.

And in winter white cotton items even fall from the sky. Yes expanse of white snow into our

everyday scenery in winter. The air felt very cold indeed could even reach below 0.

TravelingIt is not to be missed while abroad is travelling. Japan is an archipelago like Indonesia

have a lot of beautiful sights. Of course in addition to their status as a student I also

assumed the status of a foreign tourist. Many places that I visit walau belum could reach

throughout Japan such as Tokyo, Kyoto, Toyama, Tsuruga, Nagoya, Mikuni, Katsuyama,

Nagano, Oosaka. Valuable experience to meet, get together, talk, discuss, and learn together with

people who are so unusual, the scholar from different parts of the world. We are the

world.
