Örnek:

• I will be swimming in the sea at this time tomorrow. (Yarın bu zamanlar denizde yüzüyor olacağım.)
• * They won’t be studying this afternoon. (Onlar öğleden sonra ders çalışıyor olmayacaklar.)
• What will you be doing at this time next week? (Gelecek hafta bu zamanlar ne yapıyor olacaksın?)
• Will your brother be studying at university next year? (Kardeşin gelecek yıl üniversitede okuyor olacak mı?)
2-Birinin kendimize bir iyilik yapmasını istediğimizi hissettirmek için de bu
zamanı kullanırız.• Örnek:
• Will you be going anywhere near the florist’s? (Çiçekçinin yakınında bir yere mi gidiyorsun?) (gidiyor olacak mısın?)

• Eylem bildirmeyen yalnızca durum bildiren fiiller genellikle bu zaman ile kullanılmazlar.

Nor / Neither followed by inversion:
• Nor sözcüğü de aynen “so” gibi “….de,….da öyle.” anlamına gelir. Ancak bu kez olumsuz ifadelere katıldığımızı aynı eylemde ya da durumda bulunduğumuzu anlatmak için kullanılır. “Nor” yerine istersek “neither” kullanabiliriz.
Örnek:

(Cansu yaşlı değildir. Başak da öyle.)

• ☛ Örneklerde gördüğünüz gibi,
“neither…nor…” kalıbı ile cümle olumsuz bir
anlam taşıyor, cümleyi olumsuz yapan “not”
sözcüğünü kullanmamıza gerek kalmıyor.
• Konuşma dilinde genellikle fiil,cümlede çoğul
özne varmış gibi kullanılır. Ancak öznenin biri
tekil, diğeri çoğul ise fiil genellikle çoğul
özneye uygun kullanılır.
A-Örnekleri inceleyerek “neither…nor…” kalıbı ile cümleler kurunuz.
• Örnek:
Hasan doesn’t have a dog. (Hasan’ın köpeği
yok.)
• Ahmet doesn’t have a dog, either. (Ahmet’in
de köpeği yok.)
• Neither Hasan nor Ahmet (have) has a dog.
• (Ne Hasan ne de Ahmet’in köpeği var.) (Yok.)
• Umut can’t lift the cupboard. (Umut dolabı
kaldıramaz.)
• Umut can’t lift the table, either. (Umut masayı
da kaldıramaz.)
• Umut can lift neither the cupboard nor the
table.
• (Umut ne dolabı ne de masayı kaldırabilir.)

• Emine didn’t go to Bursa. (Emine Bursa’ya

• ☛ Bu alıştırmada, “neither…nor…” kalıbında
cümle kurabilmek için cümlenin yardımcı fiilini
kullanarak olumlu cümle yapmak zorundayız.
Ancak; yukarıdaki örneklerde gördüğünüz gibi,
The Simple Past Tense (geçmiş zaman) ve The
Simple Present Tense (geniş zaman) da olumlu ve
olumsuz cümlelerdeki fiil kullanımı farklıdır.
Bu nedenle aşağıdaki alıştırmalarda kırmızı
yazılmış fiillerin kullanımına dikkat ediniz.
