1 OCTOBER 2019 NEWSLETTER

What a great week! Thank you to the residents, staff and vendors for making this week everything we hoped it would be. There was something for everyone. We had arts and crafts, food, yoga, painting, dogs, snow cones, and we ended with a tasty BBQ cookout.

We had such a great time, let’s do it again next year!

Assisted Living Week

IT WAS A TOUCHDOWN! There is a lot of work that goes into the theme meal. But what makes it worth it all is how you come out to support the event! Thank you!

There is no way ANYONE should leave hungry because Chef Austin and his team always provides a massive amount of delicious food! YUM YUM!

Oktoberfest is the next theme meal on Wednesday, October 9 at 5:00 pm in Somerset’s Dining Room. If you live in Berkshire and need a ride, the bus will leave at 4:45 pm. You can get a return ride as well.

Do you know there are over 1,100 different versions of Monopoly? Has it been a few years since you played? It was Coach’s idea to play so he hosted the activity. Thanks to those who played and to those who dropped by to share their Monopoly stories.

Remember When...

Each month, several vendors perform at Regency. The idea is to provide a variety of entertainment. Some entertain-ers are local while others come from outside of Alabama.

UAB Theatre stopped by to perform show tunes from “Broadway Leading Ladies.” This group of four ladies travels to schools, churches, and retirement communities.

Dee Dee and Beth brought gospel music to Berkshire by singing and playing the piano. An added treat was when Murphy sang Jesus Loves Me in Spanish! Thanks Murphy!
