OEstablish a partnership between schools and families to assist students in math

Curriculum Changes- CCSS

OAdopted by 45 of 50 states, including RIOStandards provide more clarity and

focus, but learning is accelerated from past years

OLess review time at beginning of yearOEx. Algebra 1 topics that used to be

covered in algebra 2O5 or 6 units of study- quizzes, tests,

unit assessments for eachOFocus- explicitly teaching the standards

for effort, not accuracyOCome prepared to class with questions

on difficult problems OProblem sets given few times/quarter,

collected and graded for accuracyOProblem sets- take home or in class in
