Meals/food included in registration are:

Friday night reception (finger food - not a meal)

Saturday and Sunday mid-morning breaks

Participants are responsible for all other food not included above (such as Friday supper, breakfasts, etc.). See the Summit webpage (below) for a list of local restaurants.

For the hikes, please bring your own snacks, although you can pick up free power bars and apples at the Snack Station in the Summit registration area. The Snack Station is sponsored by Clif Bar and Sobeys.

Hike NS will not provide single-serve water bottles for those going on hikes. Instead, we’ll provide a water bottle fill station in the Summit registration area. If you want bottled water, you can buy it at the gift shop or in the vending machines onsite. The Hydration Station is sponsored by the Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage.

Hiking on Private Land & Woodlots Panel Marty Murphy will discuss how his family made their land available for a community trail and small park as a memorial to their granddaughter (Ruby) who passed

away in 2017. Larry Goodwin is a private woodlot owner and president of the Acacia Valley Trails Society

and will discuss his experiences allowing the public access on private land.

Trail Art Project Join Britt Vegsund, Active Living Coordinator for the

Municipality of the District of Lunenburg to explore the intersection of public art and hiking. We will discover
