Product Counterfeiting in India-a widespread issue
Cheaper than original : Most of the replica counterfeited products are sold at 40-45 percent lesser value than the original market rate
Easy availability : These counterfeit products are easily available in the market.
Limited knowledge : Usually a layman with limited knowledge would fall prey to these bogus products owing to the cheap or discounted prices
Product packaging : These products are packaged just like the originalproducts and are then sold to unsuspecting customers

The Solution
Each package or product would have a tamper evident label containing a unique non-clonable fingerprint which can be authenticated through a reader.
The label would typically have a bar code and a unique fingerprint.
The unique fingerprint is randomly generated and non duplicable, even by us.
Readers can scan the label and get required authentication.
These readers could be easily used by the S&M team members of the brand-owner across the entire distribution chain.
The readers can also be placed at the retail outlets so that endcustomer can verify and authenticate the genuine product.
