SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES REGARDING OBJECTIVE TYPE (O.M.R. VALUATION) TEST 1. Candidates should occup y their seats al lotte d in the examin ation centre 30 minutes before the commencement of the test. 2. The only materials allowed inside the examina tion hall are the admissio n ticket, iden tifica tion certificate, ball-point pen with blue or black ink and writing board. 3. OMR answ er sheet s which can be e valuat ed using a n Optica l Mark Rea der (OMR) wi ll be supp lied for the test. 4. Fresh OMR sheet/question booklet be supplied for any reason except printing/manufacturing defect of some kind. 5. Avoid perfor ation, dampening or soiling of the answer sheet . 6. Read the instructions on the reverse of the OMR sheet. Do not tamp er with the barcode in the centre of the OMR answer sheet or your answer sheet will be invalidated. 7. Part A of the an swer shee t is for entry of re giste r number , date of birt h, name of p ost and dat e of test and Pa rt B is for marking your answers. 8. In the column provide d in Par t A for regist er number, wri te your regi ster number in the box es and fully darken the corresponding bubbles. 9. In the case of common test for two or mor e posts , write you r regist er numbers and darken the bubbles as directed above in separate columns provided for the purpose. 10. Err ors in mar king entrie s in Par t A of the answ er sheet wil l lea d to inval ida tion; 11. In the column prov ided in Part A for date of birth, write your date of birth in the boxes and full y darken the corresponding bubbles provided. 12. Your question booklet alpha code(A/B/C/D) will be marked next to your register number on yo ur seat. 13. In Part B, in the column provide d, darken compl etel y the bubble correspo nding to the alpha code of the quest ion booklet you received. 14. The answe r script will be invalidate d if the alpha code bubbl e is not darkened or partia lly darken ed. The candi date is entirely responsible for the same. 15. In Part B, for each question, darken o nly the bubble corresponding to the right answer. E.g. If t he right answer is C , 16. Each corre ct answer wil l fetch 1 marks. Ea ch wrong answer will lose 1/ 3 mark (negat ive mark). 17. Marking more than one answer or making alterations after marking an a nswer will resul t in nega tive marks. 18. Use th e blan k sheet a t the e nd of th e ques tion bo oklet i n order t o make c alcul ation s, if any do not use the answe r  sheet. 19. No candidate will be permitted to leave the examination hall during the duration of the test. 20. After the time all otted for the test is over , separate Part A and Part B of the answer shee t along the dotte d line and hand over to the Assistant Superintendent. 21. OBJECTIVE TYPE (O.M.R. VALUATION) TEST

1. Candidates should occupy their seats allotted in the examination centre 30 minutes before the commencement of the

test.

2. The only materials allowed inside the examination hall are the admission ticket, identification certificate, ball-point pen

with blue or black ink and writing board.

3. OMR answer sheets which can be evaluated using an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) will be supplied for the test.

4. Fresh OMR sheet/question booklet be supplied for any reason except printing/manufacturing defect of some

kind.5. Avoid perforation, dampening or soiling of the answer sheet.

6. Read the instructions on the reverse of the OMR sheet. Do not tamper with the barcode in the centre of the OMR

answer sheet or your answer sheet will be invalidated.

7. Part A of the answer sheet is for entry of register number, date of birth, name of post and date of test and Part B is for

marking your answers.

8. In the column provided in Part A for register number, write your register number in the boxes and fully darken the

corresponding bubbles.

9. In the case of common test for two or more posts, write your register numbers and darken the bubbles as directed

above in separate columns provided for the purpose.

10. Errors in marking entries in Part A of the answer sheet will lead to invalidation;

11. In the column provided in Part A for date of birth, write your date of birth in the boxes and fully darken the

corresponding bubbles provided.

12. Your question booklet alpha code(A/B/C/D) will be marked next to your register number on your seat.

13. In Part B, in the column provided, darken completely the bubble corresponding to the alpha code of the question

booklet you received.

14. The answer script will be invalidated if the alpha code bubble is not darkened or partially darkened. The candidate is

entirely responsible for the same.

15. In Part B, for each question, darken only the bubble corresponding to the right answer. E.g. If the right answer is

C ,

16. Each correct answer will fetch 1 marks. Each wrong answer will lose 1/3 mark (negative mark).

17. Marking more than one answer or making alterations after marking an answer will result in negative marks.

18. Use the blank sheet at the end of the question booklet in order to make calculations, if any do not use the answer–  

sheet.

19. No candidate will be permitted to leave the examination hall during the duration of the test.20. After the time allotted for the test is over, separate Part A and Part B of the answer sheet along the dotted line and

hand over to the Assistant Superintendent.

21. A specimen OMR sheet illustrating items 8,11 and 13 above is given for your assistance.
