A Change in School Principals: Mr. Steve Castrogiovanni, our current school principal, will be leaving St. Mary’s at the end of the month. After leading the school for 3 years, Mr. Castrogiovanni will begin his new position at Blessed Sacrament School in Madison. Starting in July, he will be their new principal. During his time here, he has provided good leadership and our school enrollment has increased to 135 students.

Replacing Mr. Castrogiovanni will be Mr. Matthew Parish. Matthew is originally from Wyoming but has been in Wisconsin for some time. This will be his first time as a principal. Matthew is very excited to be part of our St. Mary’s family. He brings much energy, enthusiasm, and other gifts to the table. He will begin his position on the 1st of July. I thank both of these men for their service to our parish.

Incense News: Last week, we celebrated Pentecost, which was the end of the Easter season. We are officially in the season of Ordinary Time. During Ordinary Time, incense is never used. All three Masses are “smoke free” during this season. The incense will return in Advent.

Housekeeping Position Open: We are looking for a person to perform cleaning duties in the Church, the Nativity House, and Rectory. It is a part-time position, approximately 8-10 hours a week. If interested and for more information, please contact Fr. Rob at the Parish Office.

Have a blessed week!

The Most Holy Trinity

God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. - Jn 3:16-17 ************************************************************** The Most Holy Trinity "God so loved the world that he gave his only Son." We are used to this profound idea, so used to it that we often glaze over the incredible reality: God the Father has a Son who became man and dwelt among us! Too often we blithely make the sign of the cross in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, without realizing what a radical theology we are announcing. Only Christianity proclaims a triune God. Only Christianity professes that we have one God in three divine persons. Only Christianity declares that the very nature of God is to be relational and literally "personal." Why does this matter? Because we are made in God's image, as the opening chapters of Genesis tell us. We, therefore, are made in the image of this Trinitarian God who is love. We are built to be like this God! Just as God the Father loves God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, we too are called to love one another. In fact, we are not fulfilling our nature and design when we don't. And just as God loved the world (that is, us!) so too we are called to love him in return. We don't have to embrace this image in which we were made, of course. God gave us freedom so that our love can be real, but this means our choices really matter. We can decide not to reflect God's interpersonal love in the world. We can opt not to return the love that God pours out to each of us. But this can only lead to disappointment in the end. After all, God sent his Son so that "everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life." Ultimately, this means spending eternity in the Trinitarian embrace of love. So why not start now?

Would You Like A Pastoral Visit?

REMINDER: If you, a family member or someone you know

is confined or hospitalized and would benefit from a pastoral

visit, please contact your parish office and let them know.

Staff does not always know of hospital admissions for a

variety of reasons and often has no way of knowing of other

situations in which a parish contact would be beneficial.

Texas Roadhouse in Janesville would like to invite you in every Sunday for a special offer. Present a copy of the church bulletin to your server. 10% of your bill will be donated to Nativity of Mary!

What’s Happening

The slower pace of summer is a welcome change, and these more peaceful days invite us to step back, take a deep breath, savor the moment, and take time for reflection. Taize’ Prayer does much the same thing throughout the year, inviting us once each month, to simply be in God’s presence for about three-quarters of an hour. Once again, we will gather in a candle-lit place of peace, to open ourselves to the presence of the Holy Spirit, to sing simple and beautiful music, to hear God’s Word in scripture—and in silence, to listen for God’s voice in our hearts. Come to St. Mary’s on Monday June 12 at 7:00 PM for a peaceful and enriching prayer experience.

Taize’ Prayer St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission

If anyone will be visiting the Hayward area this summer and has room in their vehicle, we have items that could be dropped off at St. Francis Solanus, our sister parish in Stone Lake just south of Hayward.

We have a lot of children's books, some school supplies and winter clothing to go up. Anything that you could take would be appreciated!

We will continue to collect school supplies and winter clothing. Thanks to all who have given already and those who have taken things up!
