Front Cover

The masthead of my magazine, is much bigger than the rest of the text on my blog and it has a white outline around it to give it that 3D effect to make it stand out.I used conventions from the research I had looked into on Indie music magazine front covers, such as shapes eg. circle. The main image of my front cover is of Kayyah sat calmly looking into the distance, this represents mystery as the audience will want to know what it is she is looking at therefore they will want to keep reading.I have included new tour dates of some of the biggest indie artists some of who I got my inspiration from for my images such as the 4 at the bottom of my front cover.

‘New faces 2015’ will attract my audience, this is the main cover line as it is bigger than the other text that isn’t the mast head and is above the 4 images of my new artists. The audience will want to find out who these new faces are as ‘Indie’ people always want new music to listen to. I used the colours I did on my front cover as it is indie colours but bright and fun therefore will attract my target audience, especially as my target audience is of ages 16-30.
