Food Safety Auditing Activities

Audit Service Activities

The food industry faces an unprecedented level of scrutiny. Consumers are not only concerned with the safety and quality of food products but

also the way in which they are produced. MRS has developed THIRD PARTY auditing procedures of as-suring appropriate standards for its client products and their methods of production, and HACCP to identify manage key steps in production. Third party audits provide a credible verification system to the entire food processing industry including retail environments, meat, fish, poultry, vegetable and produce suppliers. These third party audits have not only been successful in identifying potential problems in the food supply, but have also allowed our inspectors to act as liaisons be-tween vendors and supplies to ensure that problems are solved in a safe, efficient and economical manner. Our team consists of trained Food Technologists, Microbi-ologists, Chemist, Nutritionist and former members of local and International regulatory agencies.

=MRS will conduct a comprehensive audit towards PRP.

=MRS will demonstrate the procedures and activi-ties practically in each facility and food handlers will be asked to practice a procedures.

=We serve our clients in the areas of food borne ill-ness prevention, risk management, and food safety, while ensuring clean, safe, hygienic food sources to our clients.

=Our audits are normally unannounced. We evalu-ate, verify and reassess HACCP plans, Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Good Management Practices (GMPs) and validate Crit-ical Control Points (CCPs).

=Our audits not only focus on the review of HAC-CP documentation, but concentrate on inspection

of storage, food production and processing units, assessment of equipment/utensil condition, water/sewage systems, garbage disposal, pest control and structural components. (walls, floors, ceilings, lighting and ventilation).

=After an audit, MRS food safety consultants will recommend Corrective Actions in all problem ar-eas and validate them.

The international standard-ISO 17025 specifies the general requirements for the competence to carryout tests and /or calibrations, including sampling. It cov-ers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods and laboratory devel-oped methods. International standards are applicable to all organizations performing tests and/or calibra-tions.
