What’s the Purpose?As fellows, you will…
•Build a personal and professional network of ed equity activists in Mississippi far beyond the TFA community!
•Explore and develop a stronger sense of vocation and commitment to seeking educational equity in the short and long term!
•Reflect on the complexities of educational inequity in our region and develop a deeper understanding of your Theory of Change in MS from a different angle!
•Clarify or Confirm the short and long term role you want to play in ed equity work given the Theory of Change you develop
Why?“The fellowship provided a tremendous opportunity both to see and to influence the making of education policy at the state level. We were warmly received, had wide latitude to create our own projects, and actively contributed to decisions about teacher evaluation systems and charter school legislation.” – Sarah Spofford,

Why?“If the goal of the fellowship was to show us that there is a community of people working on justice issues (and ed issues) around the state of Mississippi who AREN’T associated with Teach For America… to help us see that change IS possible and that the community is robust, well, then it succeeded.”
