March 25, 2012 † The Fifth Sunday of Lent V

24 HOUR EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Eucharistic Adoration is the first Monday of the month. The next Adoration is scheduled in the Basilica for April 2nd. Adoration will begin immediately after the 8:30AM Mass and continues

to the 8:30AM Mass the next day.

SKIP A MEAL – SHARE A MEAL During the Lenten season each of us is called to enter into the traditional spiritual disciplines of this season through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Prayer draws us closer to the Lord of our lives; fasting reminds us that our deepest hunger should be for the Lord, and almsgiv-ing reminds us that we have not here a lasting city and that all that we have and are is a gift from the Lord. In the pews during the Season, you will find an envelope marked “Skip a meal – Share a meal.” Putting the monies that might be used for a meal that is skipped during the week in the enve-lope, can be an expression of our will-ingness to be there for others during this penitential season. All monies collected will go to Serra’s Pantry that feeds the poor and underserved in our community.

K OF C / LENTEN FISH FRIES Every Friday during Lent – Mar 30 This year’s special meal will be The Fish Boat. This will compliment the standard fare of fish or shrimp dinners or fish tacos. We will continue to offer the popular Swordfish dinner with baked potatoes for the gourmet’s among us. Soft drinks and dessert are included with your dinner. Doors open at 5:30 PM in the Parish Center (gym) to accommodate those go-ing to Stations of the Cross. Proceeds from the fish fry are used to support our charities (seminarians, in-tellectually disabled, BirthChoice, youth ministry, wheel chair program, Fr. Serra’s Pantry, Isaiah House, etc….). Come and enjoy a great meal and fellowship while helping these worthwhile causes. Prices range from $6 to $30 for Family Meal Deal (dinner for 4).

Stations of the Cross On all Fridays of the Lenten Season, Stations of the Cross will be presented: in the Serra Chapel at 7:00 PM. (English) in the Basilica at 6:30 PM. (Spanish) Mission Parish School Living Stations / Basilica 10:30AM — 11:00AM, March 28 & April 8

SERVICIO PENITENCIAL: SACRAMENTO DEL PERDÓN Viernes 30 de Marzo 7:30 to 8:15 AM Sábado 31 de Marzo 8:00 to 9:30 AM Martes 3 de Abril 11:00 to 12:00 noon Miércoles, 4 de Abril 7:00 to 8:30 PM

El no cumplir con nuestras obligacio-nes como esposos(as) hijos(as) o hermanos(as).
