Maxdesign is located close to the town of Torviscosa, which was built in one single year.

The town was designed to be self-suffi cient, providing a social life for all who lived there. People could meet in various places: parks, libraries, cafés, swimming pools.

There was evena theatre.

I remember the fi rst time I saw the classical murals in the entrance halls.

But the offi ces with shelves stacked with fi les impressed me even more.

Before each performance, the grown-ups would stop to greet each other and us children would play on the stairs.

Many famous performers have been here. We enjoyed spying on them while they were preparing in their dressing rooms. I can still see the lights around the mirrors, the beauty cases, the costumes...

As the performance was about to start, we would run to the balcony to watch.

We were excited as we waited for the curtains to open.

During the intervals, us children would have an ice-cream while the grown-ups shared a drink at the bar.

Sometimes there were dinners organized to celebrate a special event. These were always very elegant gatherings.

There was one particular day when children would receive gifts. These would be piled up next to the stage.

I can still remember sitting with my parents, looking forward to receiving my gift.

The theatre was a world in itself with its public, its performers, its staff and its director.

I still come here to meet my friends in the evenings. We either play cards or have a drink and a chat in the grounds of the theatre.

Ispirata al design classico automobilistico italiano, Stratos si compone di geometrie che danno luogo ad una forma caratteristica poliedrica. Inspired by Italian automotive design, Stratos is based on perfect geometries that create its characteristic multi-faceted shape. This aesthetic peculiarity together with the variety of colors and upholsteries, refl ects also on its functionality and versatility. Stratos is suitable for the most varied situations, modern and at the same time classic, both private and public.

Inspiriert vom klassischen italienischen Autodesign, basiert Stratos auf einer perfekten Geometrie durch welche sich die charakteristische Form ergeben hat. Diese ästetische Besonderheit, zusammen mit der Vielfalt an Farben und Bezugstoffen spiegelt sich auch in seiner Funktionalität und Vielseitigkeit wieder. X3 has a light and transparent shape, in which the lattice structure remains deliberately visible thanks to an innovative technology. The resulting pattern plays an important aesthetic role and gives the chair a distinctive graphic appearance.

X3 possède une silhouette légère et transparente dont le treillis structurel a été volontairement laissé visible grâce à une technologie innovatrice. La trame ainsi mise en évidence joue un important rôle esthétique et donne à cette chaise un aspect graphique distinctif.

Particularly suitable for outdoor use thanks to its characteristic drain hole, Tototo is an easily stackable single-shell chair. The sides and back are designed to show part of the seat, lending it a sensuous and elegant shape.

Tototo est particulièrement indiquée pour l’outdoor, grâce à son trou caractéristique permettant l’écoulement de l’eau. Cette chaise monobloc est en outre facilement empilable verticalement. Ses côtés et son dossier sont dessinés de manière à révéler en partie l’assise et à la rendre sensuelle et élégante.

Una successione verticale dello stesso elemento geometrico puro, il cerchio. Così si compone Dancer, sgabello dall’estetica semplice e raffi nata, capace di sottolineare ambientazioni moderne e minimaliste.

A vertical sequence of the same pure geometric element, the circle. This is the stand-out feature in Dancer, a stool of simple and refi ned design for modern, low-key surroundings.

Une succession verticale d’un même élément géométrique pur, le cercle. Voici comment se présente Dancer, un tabouret à l’esthétique simple et raffi née, capable de souligner des ambiances modernes et minimalistes.

Dietro una apparente semplicità formale, Sugar free nasconde una raffi nata soluzione allo stesso tempo tecnica ed estetica. La parte superiore è infatti formata da un cilindro inclinato, modellato al suo interno a formare una seduta accogliente, che può avere fi nitura lucida oppure opaca.

Behind an apparent formal simplicity, Sugar free hides a refi ned technical and aesthetic solution. The upper part is made up of an inclined cylinder, shaped internally to form a cosy seat that can have a glossy or matt fi nish.

Derrière son apparente simplicité formelle, Sugar free dissimule une solution technique et esthétique raffi née. La partie supérieure en forme de cylindre incliné est modelée à l’intérieur pour former une assise accueillante, disponible avec une fi nition brillante ou opaque.

Hinter einer formalen Einfachheit, verbirgt Sugar free eine raffi nierte Lösung, die gleichzeitig technisch und ästhetisch ist. Der obere Teil ist wie ein schiefer Zylinder geformt, der im Inneren so modelliert wird, dass er eine einladende Sitzfl äche bildet, welche in ihrer Ausführung glänzend oder matt sein kann.

Ispirato ad un oggetto di uso comune, Moving ne conserva l’apparenza ma ne cambia ironicamente la sostanza. Un secchio diventa così sgabello o tavolino a seconda dell’esigenza funzionale.

Inspired by a common household object, Moving preserves its appearance but ironically changes the substance. A bucket thus becomes a stool or a low table, depending on the functional requirements.

Inspiré d’un objet d’usage commun, Moving en conserve l’apparence mais en modifi e ironiquement la substance. Ainsi, le seau devient un tabouret ou une petite table, selon l’exigence fonctionnelle du moment.

Moving inspiriert sich an einem Alltagsgegenstand, behält das Erscheinungsbild bei, ändert aber frech seine Substanz. So kann sich ein Kübel nach Belieben in einen Hocker oder in einen kleinen Tisch verwandeln.

Inspirado en un objeto de uso común, Moving preserva su apariencia pero cambia irónicamente la sustancia. Un balde, pues, se transforma en taburete o en mesita, según las exigencias funcionales.

Una serie di curve a formare un’onda e una serie di onde a formare un mare. Stripe è una panca che può essere utilizzata singolarmente, oppure accostata al fi ne di ottenere un paesaggio evocativo.

A series of curves forming a wave and a sequence of waves making the sea. Stripe can be used singly or in a set of benches to create an evocative arrangement.

Une série de courbes formant une vague et une série de vagues formant une mer. Stripe est un banc pouvant être utilisé seul ou assemblé afi n d’obtenir un paysage évocateur.

Aus mehreren Kurven entsteht eine Welle und aus mehreren Wellen entsteht ein Meer. Stripe kann allein verwendet werden oder zusammen mit anderen eine Traumlandschaft entstehen lassen.

Una serie de curvas que forman una ola y una serie de olas que forman un mar. La banca Stripe puede usarse individualmente o junto con otras para obtener una vista evocadora.
