The New Inner Wheel will have, so many souls, converging into a single,

large, shared membership.The ways are many, different,

complementary, all important to design and characterize the Inner Wheel of the

XXI century.One of these ways, resides in the

International Projects, transversal, that the Association will plan and execute.

The Inner Wheel Literary Prize was born in 1995-1996. It is a Literary Competition in Poetry and Prose for Women, opened to Inner Wheel Members and to Rotarian Wives; also opened to Rotary Women Members.

Other Important Changes

Inner Wheel Literary Prize in year 2002 has become PATRIMONY of the 4 Inner Wheel Clubs of Torino:

Torino, Torino Europea, Torino Nord Ovest, Torino 45° Parallelo.

The management has been committed to a renewed representative Committee of all Clubs.

There is a new Curator, Titti Baima Bollone. Another Curator, Novella Salza, will enter the Committee on

2006.The Presidency of the Prize has been left to the

conceiver and founder Luisa Vinciguerra.

In the year 2001 Inner Wheel Literary prize has received the PATRONAGE of Regione Piemonte.

In the year 2002 Inner Wheel Literary Prize has received the PATRONAGE of the National Council Inner Wheel Italy.

In the year 2003 Inner Wheel Literary Prize has received the PATRONAGE of the National Orders of Reporters.

In the year 2009 Inner Wheel Literary Prize has received the PAUL HARRIS FELLOW from the Rotary Club Torino.

The Prize Committee launched the XII Edition: PLAY WITH A PEN, which represented a real novelty for making the Inner Wheel Literary Prize more and more interesting and varied. A new phase for the European Inner Wheel Literary Prize: three renowned Italian “Pens” belonging to our contemporary literary scene. The formula was repeated in XIII edition MORE… PEN GAME.

The XIV Edition is reintroducing Poetry, on a free subject, whereas Prose is based on the theme entitled “Six Women in Search for an Author”.Participants will have to include in their short story one of the portrayals written by six different writers : Ingeborg Bachmann (Austria), Margherita Oggero (Italy), Sofi Oksanen (Finland), Alessandro Perissinotto (Italy), Maria Teresa Pichetto (Italy), Anne Wiazemsky (France), as stated in the regulations.

The premiums are first consisted in plates of silver.

From year 2001, as an official recognition is given to winners a big Medal, purposely realized for the Literary Prize by the painter and sculptress Mariarosa Valletta, member of Inner Wheel Roma Sud (District 208). Even more times author of poems and stories, now defunct.

The XII and XIII premiums consisted in an elegant and valuable pen kindly offered by AURORA.

Always each winner was also handed a certificate with the prize motivation.
