    FROM THE ACTING PRINCIPAL

It is wonderful to see the beautiful weather finally arrive, although it may be gone by the weekend. There are always many wonderful things happening around the school and this week is no exception. The Grade 2 students have continued their collaboration with Year 8 students from the Secondary College. This

buddy project has focussed on bullying and standing up rather than being a bystander. The Grade 2 students have helped design a badge which will then be turned into a 3D design by the Secondary College Students. These designs are then printed on 3D printers in the Trade Skills Alliance. The entire project is a fantastic opportunity for all students and teachers involved to send a positive message to students and a great use of ICT. Thank you to Tanya Chalmers from the Secondary College and the Grade 2 teachers for embracing the project. Paris Buckley – Acting Principal

    SUSTAINABLE SCHOOLS COMMITTEE UPDATE

We have kicked off the new Soft Plastic collection this term with a great start! Students seem to be actively using the new white bins and after only one week we had TWO big garbage bags of soft plastics which were sent for recycling instead of to landfill. The grade Prep classes are even finding their rubbish bins are practically empty at the end of the week. Thank you to everyone for making its launch such a success!
