The suffix /able/ is added to words to make an adjective. Adding /able/ changes the word to “able to be” + word. Ex: changeable= able to change

A friendly letter has 5 parts; the heading, greeting, body, closing, and signature

We can write letters to friends that we don't get to see often.

Spelling

Suffix /sion/ and /tion/Both suffixes make the /shun/ sound.

They change a verb into a noun.

Adding /tion/ and /sion/ change the word to “the action, result, or state of” +

word

Examples:Addition= act of addingEducation= the result of educating

How to make a picture book:

Write your story on multiple pages with space to illustrate.

Illustrate your story.

Make a cover and back cover.

Bind your pages together.

Share your story!

Reread your published stories in your portfolio.

Choose your favorite story to make into a book.

The story can be fiction or non-fiction.

Creating pages:

Use your brainstorming to help you separate your story into pages.

Make marks on your story so you know where to start a new page. (document camera)

Cover and Title Page:

Write your title and name on the cover and the title page.

The title page just has the information in the middle of the page with no illustration.
