KS4 & KS5 PROGRAMME 1
PATHWAY
2
At Bradfields Academy we recognise that for some of our students
with more complex learning needs, there may be some challenges
when it comes to accessing the main curriculum options in KS4 and
KS5.
As part of our commitment to ensure our Programme 1 students have
the very best start in life, we have developed a tailored supportive
pathway for Programme 1 students which will provide opportunities
to gain accredited qualifications as well as continuing to develop
their social and emotional skills.
The curriculum is planned, delivered and assessed at a pace and level
appropriate to individual need via subject specialist teachers,
experienced in working with students with special educational needs.
This booklet provides an overview of the pathway offered for
Programme 1 students within KS4 and KS5. As with the main KS4
and KS5 Curriculum pathway, some subjects will form the students’
core curriculum, while others provide an element of choice.
If you have any queries about your son/daughter’s
choices please contact

needed for everyday life and develop
their social awareness.

KS5 INFORMATION
Students will progress from KS4 to KS5 Programme 1 for Years 12-
