IntroductionAs market leader in the manufacture of
superior quality architectural insulated wall
cladding systems, Kingspan recognises the
design, performance and build factors that
architects require. Kingspan has applied it’s
global experience to create a range of
products, services and design solutions that
facilitate the design teams architectural
objectives whilst also providing real “bottom
line” performance, construction and in-use
benefits. One such product, is Kingspan’s
new box profiled insulated wall panel -
KS1000 FC.
This panel joins the Kingspan range to offer
designers and property owners metal
cladding profiles which can contrast or
compliment the existing range of Kingspan
wall panel profiles.
KS1000 FC is a through fixed wall system
which provides simple and fast site
installation with valley fixings using matching
colour headed fasteners.
KS1000 FC provides good economics,
reliable thermal and low air leakage
performance with long term lifecycle
durability.

Sustainable Forest Recyclable Vegetable Based
The paper we have printed on is from 80% post-consumer waste and the remaining 20% pulp is TCF(Totally Chlorine Free). This fibre is FSC certified (seefsc.org for details). In recognition, the range has beenawarded both the NAPM and Eugropa recycled marks, two of the most prestigious and recognisable recycledcertificates available. The ink we have used is vegetablebased, allowing the document to be recycled.

ApplicationThe KS1000 FC wall cladding system can be laid horizontally orvertically and is suitable for new build and refurbishmentconstruction.
Material Specification of KS1000 FC• 0.5mm steel external sheet with Kingspan XL200 high
performance pre-painted colour coating applied to theweatherside of the panel.
• Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core LPCB certified toLPS 1181 EXT-B for UK/Ireland applications.
• 0.4mm “Bright White” polyester coated steel liner sheet.
Available LengthsStandard lengths 1.8 to 12 metres. 12 to 15 metres can besupplied but may be subject to a transport surcharge.Panels less than 1.8m long, which require a cut back can beprovided, but will be charged at full 1.8m price, plus cutting cost.
Panel End Cut BackAll panels are normally produced with a minimum cut back of25mm. Cut backs up to 175mm can also be manufactured. If flush ended panels (no cut back) are required they can bemanufactured with one end flush and a 25mm cut back on theopposite end, based on panels exceeding 1.8m in length. The recommended cut back for panel end lapping is 100mm forvertically laid and 50mm for horizontally laid applications. Panels less than 1.8m long, which require a cut back can beprovided, but will be charged at full 1.8m price, plus cutting cost.

Quality & DurabilityKingspan insulated panels are manufactured from the highestquality materials, using state of the art production equipment torigorous quality control standards, complying with ISO 9001: 2000standard, ensuring long term reliability and service life.
Guarantees & WarrantiesKingspan will provide external coating and product warranties andguarantees on an individual project basis.
PackingStandard PackingKS1000 FC insulated panels are stacked weather sheet toweather sheet (to minimise pack height). The top, bottom, sidesand ends are protected with foam and timber packing and theentire pack is wrapped in plastic. The number of panels in each pack are:
* Recommended panel thicknesses to allow compliance with Part L(Republic of Ireland)
± Recommended panel thicknesses to allow compliance with Part L2 (England &Wales), Part J (Scotland), Part F2 (Northern Ireland), Part L (Republic of Ireland)
BiologicalKingspan insulated panels are normally immune to attack frommould, fungi, mildew and vermin. No urea formaldehyde is used inthe construction, and the panels are not considered deleterious.
FireThe external and internal faces of the panel to be Class 0 inaccordance with the Building Regulations when tested to BS476:Parts 6: 1989 and Part 7: 1987.
AcousticsThe panels have a single figure weighted sound reduction Rw =25dB.
